Abstract

A method (100) of controlling operation of an electrical system (1) of a vehicle (2) is disclosed, wherein the electrical system (1) comprises a number of vehicle components (d -c8), and a control unit (22) controllable to supply electric current to each of the number of vehicle components (c1 - c8). The method (100) comprises the step of limiting (140) electric current supplied to one or more of the number of vehicle components (c1 - c8) if the total electric current supply (Is) to the number of vehicle components (c1 - c8) exceeds an upper threshold value (TU) and a temperature estimate (tE) of the control unit (22) is above a threshold temperature (Tt).
