Abstract

The present invention relates to a fastening arrangement (F) for attaching a rail (10) within an inner space (S) of an armoured vehicle (V). Description

The present invention relates to a fastening arrangement for attaching a rail within an inner space of an armoured vehicle. The present invention also relates to an armoured vehicle comprising such a fastening arrangement.BACKGROUNDCertain armoured vehicles, such as armoured combat vehicles, have a hull having an exterior layer in the shape of an armour plate. Such vehicles have an inner space inside the exterior layer, having an isolation usually in the shape of a liner glued directly to the inner side of said exterior layer, which may be costly. In order to connect equipment or the like within said inner space, aluminium rails are connected to the inner side, said aluminium rails being connected to ground.OBJECTS OF THE INVENTIONAn object of the present invention is to provide a fastening arrangement for attaching a rail within an inner space of an armoured vehicle, which facilitates easy and efficient attachment.Another object of the present invention is to provide an armoured vehicle with such a fastening arrangement.Specifically, an object of the invention is achieved by a fastening arrangement for attaching a rail within an inner space of an armoured vehicle, said armoured vehicle comprising a hull having an exterior layer and an interior layer configured to be arranged internally in connection to said exterior layer, wherein said fastening arrangement comprises: one or more, from said exterior layer inwardly towards said inner space, protruding connection members; and one or more joint members connectable to said protruding connection members, wherein said one or more joint members are configured to attach said rail to said hull via said one or more protruding connection members. At least parts of said hull comprising said exterior layer and interior layer is configured to provide said inner space of said armoured vehicle, e.g. wall portions, sealing or the like.Hereby, easy and efficient attachment of rails is facilitated. By providing connection member(s) protruding from said exterior layer, it is facilitated to provide grounded connection of rail(s), e.g. by having said connection member(s) and rail(s) in stainless steel, wherein the rail(s) thereby are grounded so that no separate grounding of the rail(s) is required. By providing connection member(s) thus protruding from said exterior layer, said interior layer, e.g. isolation / liner, may be connected to said exterior layer without requiring the interior layer to be glued to the exterior layer, by thus attaching said rail(s) to said hull by means of said joint member(s). By providing a set of connection members protruding inwardly from said external layer and being distributed along said external layer, attachment of one or more rails is facilitated, facilitating modular configuration where vehicle components may be attached to a rail / part of rail and moved at rail / to other rail depending on current requirements. Such a vehicle component may e.g. be a seat / chair for a person(s) within said inner space. Further, such a fastening arrangement facilitates easy replacement, maintenance, upgrading or the like of said interior layer. Replacement of said interior layer may e.g. be in order to adapt for different vehicle components.According to an aspect of said fastening arrangement, said one or more protruding connection members are welded studs, welded in connection to a side of said exterior layer configured to face inwardly towards said inner space of said vehicle. Hereby the rail(s) thereby are grounded so that no separate grounding of the rail(s) are required.According to an aspect of said fastening arrangement, said interior layer is configured to be attached to said exterior layer by means of said rail. Hereby, said interior layer may be easily and efficiently attached without requiring any additional connection such as glue or the like.According to an aspect of said fastening arrangement, said interior layer comprises a through opening for each of said one or more protruding connection members, said through opening being configured to receive a protruding connection member of said one or more protruding connection members. The armoured vehicle V schematically illustrated in fig. 1a-b is a tracked armoured vehicle V.The armoured vehicle V comprises a vehicle body B, which according to an aspect of the present disclosure comprises the hull H of the armoured vehicle V and bodywork. The armoured vehicle V thus comprises a hull H.The tracked armoured vehicle V comprises a ground engaging arrangement configured to engage with the ground G on which the vehicle V is intended to travel for facilitating moving the vehicle V. According to an aspect of said fastening arrangement a nut joint member 30 of said one or more nut joint members 30 is configured to be arranged around a protruding connection member 20 for facilitating provision of attachment of said rail. According to an aspect, said protruding connection member 20 has a circular cross section configured to closely fit within said connection opening 030 of a nut joint member 30. According to an aspect, said protruding connection member 20 is a threaded protruding connection member.According to an aspect of the present disclosure, the solution according to fig.3 and 4 with screw joint member and the solution according to fig. 5 with nut joint member may be combined if there are more than one connection member 20.The foregoing description of the preferred embodiments of the present invention has been provided for the purposes of illustration and description. Claims

1. A fastening arrangement (F) for attaching a rail (10) within an inner space (S) of an armoured vehicle (V), said armoured vehicle (V) comprising a hull (H) having an exterior layer (L1) and an interior layer (L2) configured to be arranged internally in connection to said exterior layer (L1), wherein said fastening arrangement (F) comprises: one or more, from said exterior layer (L1) inwardly towards said inner space, protruding connection members (20); and one or more joint members (30) connectable to said protruding connection members (20), wherein said one or more joint members (30) are configured to attach said rail (10) to said hull (H) via said one or more protruding connection members (20).

2. The fastening arrangement according to claim 1, wherein said one or more protruding connection members (20) are welded studs, welded in connection to a side (L1i) of said exterior layer (L1) configured to face inwardly towards said inner space of said vehicle.

3. The fastening arrangement according to claim 1 or 2, wherein said interior layer (L2) is configured to be attached to said exterior layer (L1) by means of said rail (10).

The fastening arrangement according to any of claims 1-3, wherein said interior layer (L2) comprises a through opening (OL2) for each of said one or more protruding connection members (20), said through opening (OL2) being configured to receive a protruding connection member (20) of said one or more protruding connection members (20).

The fastening arrangement according to any of claims 1-4, wherein said interior layer (L2) is configured to be arranged between said exterior layer (L1) and said rail (10), wherein said attachment of said rail (10) to said one or more protruding connection members (20) by means of said one or more joint members (30) facilitates connecting said interior layer (L2) to said exterior layer (L1) of said hull (H) of said armoured vehicle (V).

The fastening arrangement according to any of claims 1-5, wherein said exterior layer (L1) of said hull (H) is made of armoured material, wherein said one or more from said exterior layer (L1) protruding connection members (20) and said rail (10) are made of corrosion-resistant steel, wherein, when said rail (10) is attached to said hull (H) via said one or more protruding connection members (20), said rail (10) is configured to be in contact with said one or more protruding connection members (20) so that a grounded connection of said rail (10) is obtained.

7. The fastening arrangement according to any of claims 1-6, wherein said rail comprises a joint opening (O10) for each of said one or more joint members (30), for facilitating attachment of said rail (10) to said hull (H).

The fastening arrangement according to any of claims 1-7, wherein one or more of said one or more protruding connection members (20) comprises a connection opening (O20) having an axial extension and a circular crosssection, said connection opening (O20) being configured to receive a joint member (30) of said one or more joint members (30) for facilitating providing said attachment of said rail (10).

The fastening arrangement according to any of claims 1-8, wherein one or more of said one or more joint members (30) comprises a connection opening (030) having an axial extension and a circular cross-section, and said one or more protruding connection members (20) is configured to be introduced into said connection opening (030) of a joint member (30) of said one or more joint members (30) when receiving said joint member for facilitating providing said attachment of said rail (10).

10. The fastening arrangement according to any of claims 1-9, wherein said interior layer (L2) comprises an isolation layer part (L2-1) and a liner layer part (L2-2), said isolation layer part (L2-1) being configured to be arranged between said exterior layer (L1) and said liner layer part (L2-2).

11. The fastening arrangement according to any of claims 1-10, wherein said rail (10) is configured to be adapted for facilitating connection of equipment for the vehicle and / or vehicle passengers within said inner space (S) of said armoured vehicle (V).

12. An armoured vehicle (V), said vehicle comprising a fastening arrangement according to any of claims 1-11.
