Soluble isomalt capsule for beverage preparation and method of producing the same

Abstract

A soluble capsule for preparing beverages, made of isomalt, containing a dosed filling intended for preparing a beverage, is made of heat-treated isomalt, has a closed hollow shape and contains an internal filling in the form of a loose mixture or a portioned mixture (e.g. in a tea bag), which is soluble in hot water, whereby the coating is dissolved, the contents are released and the beverage is prepared. A method of producing a capsule by heating isomalt to 150 °C, cooling it and adding coloring substances and subsequent solidification in two silicone molds is also described, whereby the filling is added to one and the capsule is closed into a whole by melting in the other.
