Abstract

The sole structure for footwear comprises a base body with a front part, a middle part and a heel part, an upper surface (1) intended for connection to the upper of the footwear and a tread bottom surface (2) intended for contact with the ground. Grooves are formed on the tread bottom surface (2) dividing the base body into projections (3). The grooves include a first group of grooves (4) and a second group of grooves (5) with different depths. The first group of grooves (4) with a smaller depth serves to increase grip and drain water, while the second group of grooves (5) with a greater depth divides the base body into zones (6) with reduced mutual bending stiffness. The second group of grooves (5) includes at least one longitudinally guided groove (8), which is rounded or curved in plan view in the direction of the lateral shape of the foot. The second group of grooves (5) may further include transverse grooves (7), obliquely guided grooves and / or a closed groove (9) delimiting the internal anatomical deformation zone (10), thereby achieving multiaxial deformability, transverse flexibility and torsional compliance of the sole structure. The technical solution is particularly suitable for barefoot footwear.
