A working tool for cutting ice and loosening compacted snow

Abstract

The technical solution belongs to the field of working tools of road and municipal machines for winter maintenance. The working tool comprises a shaft (1), two end drive discs (2, 3) and working discs (5) loosely mounted on the shaft (1) through larger central holes. The working discs (5) carry cutters (6) and are connected to the end drive discs (2, 3) by cables (8) guided through spacer springs (7). On the peripheral part of each working disc (5), next to the cutters (6), there are evenly distributed cup wire brushes (10), the working faces of which point outwards from the axis of the shaft (1). The cutters (6) cut off the ice, the flexibly mounted working discs (5) follow the irregularities and the brushes (10) loosen the compacted snow layer between the traces of the cutters (6).
