Abstract

A device for blocking the operation of a kitchen appliance, in particular a stove or hob, connected to a power source, characterized in that it includes an alcohol sensor (1) designed to measure the alcohol level in the body of a user of the kitchen appliance, a control unit (2) communicatively connected to the alcohol sensor (1) for evaluating the exceeding of a set limit value of the alcohol level, a blocking module (3) communicatively connected to the control unit (2) for blocking the operation of the kitchen appliance, wherein the blocking module (3) is arranged between the power source and the kitchen appliance, or is integrated directly in the kitchen appliance.
