Abstract

The method for preparing amorphous biodegradable blended thermoplastic elastomers based on polymers from renewable sources is based on the fact that component A, which is a biodegradable polymer from renewable sources or a biodegradable copolymer from renewable sources, which is amorphous or low-crystalline, or it is a mixture of two or more such amorphous polymers or copolymers, wherein the total content of the crystalline phase of component A is a maximum of 2% by weight and the temperature Tg is below the application temperature of the final mixture, and component B, which is a biodegradable polymer from renewable sources or a biodegradable copolymer from renewable sources, which is low-crystalline or it is a mixture of two or more such amorphous polymers or copolymers, wherein the total content of the crystalline phase of component B is a maximum of 2% by weight and the temperature Tg is above the application temperature of the final mixture, are mixed together and the mixture is subsequently thoroughly homogenized.
