Abstract

The device for automatic litter exchange in small farm animal husbandry comprises at least two bedding levels, whereby at least one bedding level is movable outside the breeding area during the cleaning cycle and the other provides a stable bedding surface for the animals. The solution enables maintenance of the bedding without the need to move the animals and reduces the time required for maintenance. The essence of the mechanism lies in the principle of a movable and stable bedding level during the cleaning cycle, whereby vertical continuity occurs only during the bedding exchange. This principle is protected independently of the specific design, number of bedding levels or materials used. The solution is applicable in any breeding system with multiple bedding levels, as long as it maintains the essence of a movable and stable bedding surface during the cleaning cycle.
