Abstract
The ropeless elevator has drive units (5) clamped to the elevator car (1), which move vertically along the toothed guide rails (2) by means of drive gears (4) to an unlimited desired height, while they are controlled by the drive control unit (6) and in the event of a failure of the drive unit (5) of the elevator car (1), the emergency drive system (9) unlocks the blocked elevator car (1) and transports it to the desired vertical position.
