Method for manufacturing hybrid mineral-polymeric superplasticizer

Abstract

The method for producing a hybrid superplasticizer includes preparing an activated aqueous suspension of a mixture of minerals containing zeolite and an activated aqueous suspension of a mixture of minerals containing bentonite in separate tanks at a temperature of 45 to 55 °C for at least 24 hours, subsequently introducing said activated suspensions into a mother liquor of a polycarboxylate ether (PCE) superplasticizer with constant stirring and maintaining the pH of the resulting mixture in the range of 6.5 to 8.5 during the introduction of the activated suspension.
