LOW-POWER PERSONAL SOLID-STATE DEVICE

Abstract

The solution presented in this document concerns a personal solid-state device, specifically a detection device used to determine radiation exposure, specifically a solid-state electronic dosimeter. The solution presented here is particularly suitable for creating a portable, low-power, personal device (to determine individual exposure to such radiation). A personal solid-state device comprising: a radiation-sensitive component comprising a Flash memory with a plurality of memory cells comprising floating-gate MOS transistors; a control unit for controlling the Flash memory; and a communications interface for enabling data communication between the device and an external data processing system.
