Abstract

Page 1 of 1 Summary of the invention. In order to provide a sewing machine that can improve the appearance of reverse stitching and... Reverse stitch control program Sewing machine 1 consists of a feed rate control section 241 and a feed rate adjustment section. Section 25, which specifies the feed quantity, and section 241 will determine the forward feed quantity for the stitch. One stitch of forward stitching in the feed volume adjustment section, 25 forward feed volume which is... The amount determined by the feed quantification section 241 is compared to the maximum backward feed amount. For one stitch of reverse stitching, which is determined by the feeding mechanism 33, then... In the feed rate adjustment section 25, when the forward feed rate is greater than the backward feed rate. Maximum total amount of backward feed for a certain number of backstitches. It will be adjusted to match the total amount of forward feed for one stitch. More than just forward stitching.

Claims

Page 1 of 2, Claims 1. A sewing machine which includes a feed rate regulator which determines the forward feed amount for one forward stitch and a feed rate adjuster which compares the forward feed amount determined by the feed rate regulator with the maximum backward feed amount for one reverse stitch, which is determined by the feed mechanism, and adjusts the total backward feed amount for a number of stitches to coincide with the total forward feed amount for one or more stitches when the forward feed amount is greater than the maximum backward feed amount.

2. A sewing machine under Claims 1 where the feed rate adjuster adjusts the total backward feed amount for a number of stitches to coincide with the forward feed amount for one stitch.

3. A sewing machine under Claims 1 or 2 where the feed rate adjuster determines the relative backward feed amount to the total backward feed amount for a number of stitches at equal intervals. 4.A sewing machine under claim 1 or 2 where the feed volume adjustment determines the relative backfeet amount in the total backfeet amount for a number of stitches at unequal spacing.

5. A sewing machine under any of claim 1 through 4 where the feed volume adjustment does not create stitches for a portion of the total backfeet amount for a number of stitches.

6. A sewing machine under any of claim 1 through 5 which includes an additional reverse stitch command which provides reverse stitching commands where the reverse stitching of the total backfeet amount for a number of stitches adjusted in the feed volume adjustment is executed by the command from the reverse stitch command (page 2 of page 2). 7.A reverse sewing control program for a sewing machine, which enables computer-controlled reverse sewing, consists of a feed volume setting section and a feed volume adjustment section. The reverse sewing control program comprises a process where the feed volume setting section determines the forward feed amount for one forward stitch, and a process where the feed volume adjustment section compares the forward feed amount set by the feed volume setting section with the maximum backward feed amount for one reverse stitch (which is determined by the feed mechanism) and adjusts the total backward feed amount for a number of stitches to synchronize with the total forward feed amount for one or more stitches when the forward feed amount exceeds the maximum backward feed amount.
