Packaging material which includes: a) a polymer core layer containing at least one antimicrobial and / or antifungal active substance dispersed in a polymer matrix; b) a coating applied to the side of such core layer which is obtained from polymer lacquer or paint including pileosilicate or hydrotalcite fillers; c) a release coating of the antimicrobial or antifungal active substance which includes encapsulated ethanol and a polymer component of choice of chitosan grafted with polyethylene glycol or cyclodextrin, a mixture of chitosan and polyethylene glycol and polymer or a mixture of polymers for printable paint applied to the other side of the core layer; 2.
