Battery module and power-consuming device

[0001] CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS

[0002] This application claims priority to Chinese patent application No. 202220030319.9, filed on January 5, 2022, entitled “A battery module and electrical device,” the entire contents of which are incorporated herein by reference. Technical Field

[0003] The present application relates to the technical field of electrochemical devices, and in particular to a battery module and an electrical device. Background Art

[0004] Energy conservation and emission reduction are key to the sustainable development of the automotive industry. Electric vehicles, due to their energy-saving and environmentally friendly advantages, have become a crucial component of this industry's sustainable development. Battery technology is a crucial factor in the development of electric vehicles. Related technologies have shown that due to overcharging, over-discharging, short circuits, and high-temperature storage, battery cells are prone to swelling, leading to battery bulging, which affects battery safety and poses a potential safety hazard.

[0005] Summary of the Invention

[0006] This application provides a battery module and power-consuming device to reduce the probability of battery thermal failure caused by excessive battery swelling, improve battery safety, and reduce safety hazards. The specific technical solution is as follows:

[0007] In a first aspect, the present application provides a battery module comprising a battery, a wiring harness isolation plate, and at least one fixing strap. The battery comprises at least one battery cell; the wiring harness isolation plate is electrically connected to the at least one battery cell; and at least one fixing strap is disposed on the wiring harness isolation plate, the at least one fixing strap extending along a first direction, with both ends of the at least one fixing strap respectively fixedly connected to two sides of the battery along the first direction, where the first direction is the thickness direction of the at least one battery cell.

[0008] In the technical solution provided by the present application, a fixing strap is provided on the wiring harness isolation plate, and the two ends of the fixing strap are fixedly connected to the two sides of the battery along the first direction. The fixing strap can provide a restraining force for the battery along the first direction, that is, it can provide a restraining force for the multiple battery cells included in the battery along the first direction, that is, it can restrain the two large surfaces of the multiple battery cells along the first direction. Therefore, when the battery cells swell, the fixing strap can restrain the two large surfaces of the battery cells with a larger degree of swelling, reduce the displacement of the multiple battery cells along the first direction caused by swelling and other phenomena, reduce the probability of excessive swelling of the battery cells, and thus reduce the probability of excessive swelling of the battery, thereby improving the safety performance of the battery, reducing the probability of thermal failure of the battery due to excessive swelling of the battery cells, and reducing safety hazards.

[0009] In an embodiment of the present application, the battery includes an end plate disposed on at least one side of at least one battery cell along a first direction, and at least one fixing strap fixedly connected to the end plate. The fixing strap can provide a restraining force for the battery along the first direction. When a battery cell swells, the two larger surfaces of the battery cell with the largest swelling are restrained, thereby reducing displacement of multiple battery cells along the first direction caused by swelling and other phenomena, reducing the probability of excessive swelling of the battery cells, and thereby improving the safety performance of the battery.

[0010] In an embodiment of the present application, at least one fixing strap has a protruding structure on one side near at least one battery cell. This protruding structure can apply a downward compressive force to the at least one battery cell when the battery cell swells and the fixing strap is tightened in a first direction, thereby enhancing the restraining force exerted by the fixing strap on the battery.

[0011] In the embodiments of the present application, at least one battery cell has a post structure on one side near at least one fixing strap. The projection of the protruding structure does not overlap with the projection of the post structure in a direction perpendicular to the wiring harness isolation plate. This non-overlapping projection of the protruding structure and the post structure can reduce the impact of the protruding structure on the battery post structure and the electrical connection performance of the battery cell.

[0012] In the embodiments of the present application, at least one battery cell has an explosion-proof valve on one side near at least one fixing strap. The projection of the raised structure in a direction perpendicular to the wiring harness isolation plate does not overlap with the projection of the explosion-proof valve. This non-overlapping projection of the raised structure and the explosion-proof valve reduces the impact of the raised structure on the battery cell's explosion-proof valve, thereby reducing its impact on the battery cell's explosion-proof, venting, and pressure relief performance.

[0013] In the embodiment of the present application, the raised structure abuts against the side of the battery cell proximal to at least one fixing strap. This can reduce the effect of displacement between battery cells on the stress applied to the tabs electrically connected to the pole structure on the wiring harness isolation plate when the battery cells swell. This reduces the probability of battery failure caused by excessive stress on the tabs due to displacement of the battery cells, thereby improving the battery's electrical connection performance.

[0014] In an embodiment of the present application, at least one fixing strap and the wiring harness isolation plate are integrally injection-molded. This integral injection-molded structure can enhance the connection tightness between the at least one fixing strap and the wiring harness isolation plate, strengthen the restraining force of the at least one fixing strap on the battery along the first direction, and further improve the safety performance of the battery.

[0015] In an embodiment of the present application, the material of at least one fixing strap includes metal. Metal has good mechanical properties such as strength, hardness, and rigidity, which can enhance the use effect of the at least one fixing strap and thus improve the safety performance of the battery.

[0016] In an embodiment of the present application, the battery includes at least two battery cells arranged side by side along a second direction, the second direction being perpendicular to the first direction. Along the second direction, at least one fixing strap is positioned between the terminal structures of two adjacent battery cells along the second direction. Providing at least one fixing strap between the terminal structures of two adjacent battery cells not only reduces the impact of the fixing strap on the terminal structures but also increases the restraining force of the fixing strap on the battery, reducing the probability of excessive swelling of the battery cells within the battery, and further improving the safety performance of the battery.

[0017] A second aspect of the present application provides an electrical device, comprising any of the battery modules described above, wherein the batteries in the battery module are used to provide electrical energy to the electrical device.

[0036] Currently, market developments indicate that power batteries are becoming increasingly widespread. They are used not only in energy storage systems such as hydropower, thermal, wind, and solar power plants, but also in electric vehicles like electric bicycles, electric motorcycles, and electric cars, as well as in military equipment and aerospace. As power battery applications continue to expand, market demand is also growing.

[0037] Battery cells are prone to swelling due to overcharging, over-discharging, short circuiting, and high-temperature storage. As ions are embedded or extracted from the positive and negative active materials during the battery's charge and discharge cycles, the thickness of the battery cell system's side reactions and the exfoliation of graphite sheets cause the battery cells to swell. Battery cells are an important component of batteries, and swelling of the battery cells has an adverse effect on the battery's performance and service life. When battery cells are stacked to form a battery module, the large surfaces of adjacent battery cells are placed in close proximity. Excessive swelling of the battery cells in the battery module can cause battery failure or even explosion, affecting the battery's safety performance.

[0038] Based on the above considerations, and to address the issues of battery cell swelling during use due to overcharging, over-discharging, short circuiting, and high-temperature storage, which can lead to reduced battery performance and service life, as well as battery failure or explosion caused by excessive swelling, the inventors, after in-depth research, have designed a battery. By providing at least one fixing strap within the battery and securely connecting the at least one fixing strap to the battery module, the at least one fixing strap can restrain the battery module when swelling or other phenomena cause displacement of the battery cells within the battery module, thereby reducing the probability of safety issues such as battery explosion due to excessive swelling and improving the battery's safety performance.

[0039] The batteries disclosed in the embodiments of this application can be used, but are not limited to, in electrical devices such as vehicles, ships, or aircraft. The batteries disclosed in this application can be used to form a power supply system for such electrical devices, thereby reducing the probability of safety issues such as battery explosion due to excessive swelling and improving battery safety.

[0040] An embodiment of the present application provides an electrical device that uses a battery as a power source. The electrical device may be a mobile phone, a portable device, a laptop computer, an electric vehicle, an electric car, a ship, a spacecraft, an electric toy, an electric tool, etc. For example, the spacecraft includes an airplane, a rocket, a space shuttle, a spacecraft, etc. The electric toys include fixed or mobile electric toys, such as a game console, an electric car toy, an electric ship toy, and an electric airplane toy, etc. The electric tools include metal cutting electric tools, grinding electric tools, assembly electric tools, and railway electric tools, such as an electric drill, an electric grinder, an electric wrench, an electric screwdriver, an electric hammer, an impact drill, a concrete vibrator, and an electric planer.

[0041] For the convenience of description, the following embodiments are described by taking a vehicle as an example of an electrical device according to an embodiment of the present application.

[0042] The battery described in the embodiments of the present application is not limited to being applicable to the electrical devices described above, but can also be applied to all devices that use batteries. However, for the sake of simplicity, the following embodiments are explained using electric vehicles as an example.

[0043] For example, as shown in Figure 1 , vehicle 1 can be a fuel-powered vehicle, a gas-powered vehicle, or a new energy vehicle. The new energy vehicle can be a pure electric vehicle, a hybrid vehicle, or an extended-range vehicle. Vehicle 1 can be equipped with a battery 2, a controller 3, and a motor 4. Controller 3 controls how battery 2 powers motor 4. For example, battery 2 can be located at the bottom, front, or rear of vehicle 1. Battery 2 can be used to power vehicle 1. For example, battery 2 can serve as the operating power source for vehicle 1 and its circuit systems, such as those required for starting, navigation, and operation.

[0044] In another embodiment of the present application, the battery 2 can not only serve as the operating power source of the vehicle 1, but also serve as the driving power source of the vehicle 1, replacing or partially replacing fuel or natural gas to provide driving power for the vehicle 1.

[0045] In a first aspect, the present application provides a battery module, as shown in Figures 1, 2, and 3. The battery module includes a battery 2, a wiring harness isolation plate 8, and at least one fixing strap 810. The battery 2 includes at least one battery cell 6; the wiring harness isolation plate 8 is electrically connected to the at least one battery cell 6; and the at least one fixing strap 810 is disposed on the wiring harness isolation plate 8 and extends along a first direction X. The ends of the at least one fixing strap 810 are respectively fixedly connected to two sides of the battery 2 along the first direction X. The first direction X is the thickness direction of the at least one battery cell 6.

[0046] As shown in Figures 1 and 2, the battery 2 can be a module structure formed by connecting one or more battery cells 6. As shown in Figures 2 and 3, the battery 2 can include a plurality of battery cells 6 stacked along the thickness direction of the battery cell 6. Among them, the plurality of battery cells 6 can be connected in series, in parallel, or in mixed connection. Mixed connection means that the plurality of battery cells 6 are both connected in series and in parallel. The battery cell 6 can be a secondary battery or a primary battery, or a lithium-sulfur battery, a sodium-ion battery, a magnesium-ion battery, etc., but is not limited thereto. Among them, the battery cell 6 can be cylindrical, flat, rectangular or in other shapes. As shown in Figure 3, the battery cell 6 includes a pole structure 610, which is a conductive part that can lead out the positive and negative electrodes in the battery cell 6.

[0047] Furthermore, as shown in Figure 3, the wiring harness isolation plate 8 may also be provided with a tab 820, an output pole tab, and a flexible circuit board 830. Specifically, the tab 820 is electrically connected to the pole structure 610 on the battery cell 6. The wiring harness isolation plate 8 may also be used to install and secure the battery sampling line, which is a conductor used to collect electrical signals such as the current and voltage of each battery cell 6. Furthermore, the wiring harness isolation plate 8 may also be used to guide and exhaust gas from the battery 2.

[0048] In the embodiment of the present application, as shown in Figure 3, the first direction X is the thickness direction of the battery cell 6, that is, the stacking direction when multiple battery cells 6 are stacked. The fixing belt 810 is provided on the wiring harness isolation plate 8, and the fixing belt 810 extends along the first direction X. As shown in Figure 5, the two ends of the fixing belt 810 are bent toward the battery 2 and fixedly connected to the two sides of the battery 2. Therefore, the fixing belt 810 can constrain the two sides of the battery 2 and reduce the probability of excessive swelling. Among them, components such as the fixing belt 810, the bar piece 820, the output pole bar piece and the flexible circuit board 830 can be connected and fixed to the wiring harness isolation plate 8 by a hot riveting process.

[0049] In the battery module provided in an embodiment of the present application, as shown in FIG3 , a fixing strap 810 is provided on the wiring harness isolation plate 8 , and both ends of the fixing strap 810 are fixedly connected to two sides of the battery 2 along a first direction X. The fixing strap 810 can provide a restraining force for the battery 2 along the first direction X, that is, it can provide a restraining force for the multiple battery cells 6 included in the battery 2 along the first direction X, namely, it can restrain two large surfaces of the multiple battery cells 6 along the first direction X. Therefore, when the battery cells 6 swell, the fixing strap 810 can restrain the two large surfaces of the battery cells 6 that swell to a greater extent, thereby reducing the displacement of the multiple battery cells 6 along the first direction X caused by swelling and other phenomena, reducing the probability of excessive swelling of the battery cells 6, and thus reducing the probability of excessive swelling of the battery 2. This improves the safety performance of the battery 2, reduces the probability of thermal failure of the battery 2 due to excessive swelling of the battery cells 6, and reduces safety hazards.

[0050] Furthermore, when the fixing strap 810 restricts excessive expansion of the battery cells 6 in the thickness direction of the battery 2, the primary expansion force of the battery cells 6 shifts from the thickness direction to the height direction. Furthermore, the top cover of the battery cells 6 can be provided with an explosion-proof vent valve, allowing more high-pressure gas generated within the battery cells 6 to be discharged through the explosion-proof vent valve, thereby allowing the battery 2 to vent and release pressure, further reducing the degree of expansion of the battery 2 and improving the safety of the battery 2. Furthermore, the wiring harness isolation plate 8 covers the upper end of the battery 2 and is fixedly connected to the fixing strap 810. This not only increases the tightness of the connection between the fixing strap 810 and the battery 2, but also provides certain gas conduction and exhaust functions, thereby reducing the probability of excessive expansion of the battery cells 6 and further improving the safety of the battery 2.

[0051] Furthermore, as shown in FIG2 , the battery 2 may further include a battery case 5 , in which a plurality of battery cells 6 are housed. The battery case 5 is used to provide a storage space for the battery cells 6 or a battery module composed of a plurality of battery cells 6 . Specifically, the plurality of battery cells 6 may be directly connected in series, in parallel, or in a mixed manner, and then placed in the battery case 5 . The plurality of battery cells 6 may also be first connected in series, in parallel, or in a mixed manner to form one or more battery modules, which are then housed collectively in the case 5 . The battery case 5 may adopt a variety of structures.

[0052] Furthermore, as shown in FIG2 , the battery case 5 may include a first portion 51 and a second portion 52 , the first portion 51 and the second portion 52 covering each other, and the first portion 51 and the second portion 52 jointly defining a storage space for accommodating the battery cell 6 . The first portion 51 may be a hollow structure with one end open, and the second portion 52 may be a plate-like structure, the second portion 52 covering the open side of the first portion 51 , so that the first portion 51 and the second portion 52 jointly define a storage space. The first portion 51 and the second portion 52 may also be hollow structures with one end open, the open side of the second portion 52 covering the open side of the first portion 51 . Of course, the battery case 5 formed by the first portion 51 and the second portion 52 may be in a variety of shapes, such as a cylinder, a cuboid, etc. In addition, the battery 2 may also include other structures, such as a busbar, etc., which are not limited in this application.

[0053] In some embodiments, as shown in Figures 3, 4 and 5, the battery 2 includes an end plate 710, which is disposed on at least one side of at least one battery cell 6 along the first direction X, and at least one fixing belt 810 is fixedly connected to the end plate 710.

[0054] In the embodiment of the present application, as shown in FIG3 , an end plate 710 is a structural member disposed on one or both sides of a battery 2 along a first direction X to secure the battery cells 6 within the battery 2. Specifically, as shown in FIG3 , the battery 2 may include two end plates 710 . The two end plates 710 are disposed opposite each other and contact the side surfaces of at least one battery cell 6 along the first direction X, respectively, to secure the at least one battery cell 6 and reduce the possibility of the at least one battery cell 6 moving within the battery case 5 and thus affecting the performance and safety of the battery 2. As shown in FIG5 , since the end plates 710 are located on both sides of the battery 2, the ends of at least one fixing strap 810 can be fixedly connected to the two end plates 710, thereby being fixedly connected to both sides of the battery 2 through the end plates 710. The connection between the end plates 710 and the ends of the fixing strap 810 includes a locking connection. Specifically, the end plates 710 are provided with threaded holes, and the end plates 710 are locked to the at least one fixing strap 810 via bolts, providing a highly secure connection. In addition, the connection method between the end plate 710 and the two ends of the fixing belt 810 also includes a snap connection, etc., which is not limited in this application.

[0055] In the embodiment of the present application, as shown in FIG5 , both ends of at least one fixing strap 810 are fixedly connected to the end plates 710 on both sides of the battery 2 along the first direction X, thereby providing a restraining force for the battery 2 along the first direction X. When the battery cells 6 swell, the fixing strap 810 can restrain the two large surfaces of the battery cells 6 that swell to a greater extent, thereby reducing displacement of multiple battery cells 6 along the first direction X caused by swelling and other phenomena, reducing the probability of excessive swelling of the battery cells 6, and thus reducing the probability of excessive swelling of the battery 2. This improves the safety performance of the battery 2, reduces the probability of thermal failure of the battery 2 due to excessive swelling of the battery cells 6, and reduces safety hazards.

[0056] In some embodiments, as shown in FIG. 6 , a side of at least one fixing strap 810 close to at least one battery cell 6 has a protruding structure 8110 .

[0057] In the embodiment of the present application, as shown in FIG6 , a raised structure 8110 is disposed on a side of at least one fixing strap 810 proximate to at least one battery cell 6 . The raised structure 8110 includes, but is not limited to, rectangular or arc-shaped projections. Furthermore, the raised structure 8110 can be formed by stamping the fixing strap 810 in a direction toward the battery cell 6 . The dimensions of the raised structure 8110 can be customized based on actual needs. Specifically, the length of the raised structure 8110 along the first direction X can be determined based on the distance between two adjacent battery cells 6 along the first direction X. Furthermore, the width of the raised structure 8110 can be determined based on the width of the at least one fixing strap 810 , and the height of the raised structure 8110 can be determined based on the height of the distance between the wiring harness isolation plate 8 and the battery cell 6 . Furthermore, the fixing strap 810 can be provided with multiple raised structures 8110 spaced apart, and the number of raised structures 8110 can be determined based on the number of battery cells 6 , which is not limited in this application.

[0058] In the embodiment of the present application, a protruding structure 8110 is provided on the fixing band 810, so that the thickness of the fixing band 810 at the location where the protruding structure 8110 is provided is greater than the thickness at other locations. Therefore, if the battery cells 6 swell and the fixing band 810 is tightened along the first direction X, the protruding structure 8110 can apply a downward pressure to the multiple battery cells 6 located below the fixing band 810, thereby enhancing the restraining force exerted by the fixing band 810 on the battery 2.

[0059] In some embodiments, as shown in Figures 3, 5 and 6, at least one battery cell 6 has a pole structure 610 on one side close to at least one fixing strap 810, and the projection of the protruding structure 8110 does not overlap with the projection of the pole structure 610 in a direction perpendicular to the wiring harness isolation plate 8.

[0060] In an embodiment of the present application, as shown in Figure 3, the pole structure 610 can also be called the electrode terminal of the battery cell 6. The pole structure 610 is a conductive member used to lead out the positive and negative electrodes in the battery cell 6. The pole structure 610 is arranged on the top surface of the battery cell 6 on one side close to the wiring harness isolation plate 8. The pole structure 610 may include a positive pole and a negative pole. One end of the pole structure 610 can be connected to the wiring harness isolation plate 8, and the other end can be connected to an external conductor, or connected to one pole of an adjacent battery cell 6 in the battery 2. Specifically, as shown in Figure 7, a plurality of tabs 820 are integrated on the wiring harness isolation plate 8, and the positions of the plurality of tabs 820 can correspond to the pole structure 610 of the battery cell 6. The pole structure 610 can be electrically connected to the tab 820 to transmit current through the tab 820.

[0061] In an embodiment of the present application, the projection of the protruding structure 8110 does not overlap with the projection of the pole structure 610 along the direction perpendicular to the wiring harness isolation plate 8, that is, when the battery cell 6 expands and causes the pole structure 610 to move toward the fixing belt 810, the protruding structure 8110 will not contact the pole structure 610, thereby reducing the impact of the protruding structure 8110 on the pole structure 610 and reducing the impact of the protruding structure 8110 on the electrical connection performance of the battery cell 6.

[0062] In some embodiments, as shown in Figures 3, 5 and 6, at least one battery cell 6 has an explosion-proof valve 620 on one side close to at least one fixing strap 810, and the projection of the protruding structure 8110 does not overlap with the projection of the explosion-proof valve 620 in a direction perpendicular to the wiring harness isolation plate 8.

[0063] In the embodiment of the present application, as shown in FIG3 , the explosion-proof valve 620 is disposed between the positive and negative poles of the pole structure 610 , that is, approximately in the middle of the battery cell 6 . The explosion-proof valve 620 is a breathable, waterproof, and explosion-proof accessory for the battery 2 . The explosion-proof valve 620 can open when the air pressure within the battery 2 is high, that is, when the pressure differential between the inside and outside of the battery 2 is large, to vent and relieve pressure from the battery 2 , thereby reducing the probability of thermal failure of the battery 2 and improving the safety performance of the battery 2 . In a direction perpendicular to the wiring harness isolation plate 8 , the projection of the raised structure 8110 does not overlap with the projection of the explosion-proof valve 620 .

[0064] In the embodiment of the present application, when the battery 2 has a row of battery cells 6 arranged along a first direction X, the raised structure 8110 can be located between the positive or negative electrode of the electrode structure 610 and the explosion-proof valve 620, or on the side of the electrode structure 610 away from the explosion-proof valve 620 (the battery cell shoulder 6110). When the battery 2 has two rows of battery cells 6 arranged along the first direction X, and the two rows of battery cells 6 are arranged side by side along a second direction Y, the raised structure 8110 can be located between the adjacent electrode structures 610 of the two battery cells 6 arranged side by side along the first direction X, that is, between the two adjacent battery cell shoulders 6110. When the battery cells 6 expand, causing the electrode structure 610 to move toward the fixing band 810, the raised structure 8110 will not contact the electrode structure 610 and the explosion-proof valve 620.

[0065] In the embodiment of the present application, the projection of the protruding structure 8110 does not overlap with the projection of the explosion-proof valve 620. The protruding structure 8110 will not squeeze the explosion-proof valve 620, causing the explosion-proof valve 620 to be unable to open normally. This can reduce the impact of the protruding structure 8110 on the explosion-proof valve 620 of the battery cell 6 and reduce the impact on the explosion-proof, air permeability and pressure relief performance of the battery cell 6.

[0066] In some embodiments, as shown in FIG. 3 , FIG. 5 , and FIG. 6 , the protruding structure 8110 abuts against a side of the battery cell 6 close to the at least one fixing band 810 .

[0067] In an embodiment of the present application, the raised structure 8110 is provided above and below the fixing belt 810, and the raised structure 8110 can abut against at least one battery cell 6 below the fixing belt 810. Specifically, the raised structure 8110 can abut against the battery cell shoulder 6110, which is the two side areas away from the two pole structures 610 on the top surface of the battery cell 6. In addition, the raised structure 8110 can also abut against the area between the explosion-proof valve 620 and the pole structure 610. The raised structure 8110 abuts against at least one battery cell 6, and when the battery cell 6 swells and the at least one fixing belt 810 is tensioned along the first direction X, the fixing belt 810 directly contacts the at least one battery cell 6, and the fixing belt 810 provides a larger, downward pressing force to the battery cell 6, further enhancing the restraining force of the fixing belt 810 on the battery 2.

[0068] In an embodiment of the present application, as shown in FIG3 , the battery 2 is fixedly connected to the wiring harness isolation plate 8, and the connection method includes welding. When the battery cells 6 swell and cause gaps between the battery cells 6, thereby causing displacement in the battery 2, the displacement will generate stress on the weld formed by the welding connection and the tab 820 on the wiring harness isolation plate 8 that is electrically connected to the pole structure 610, which can easily cause the tab 820 to be subjected to excessive stress and disconnected from the pole structure 610, resulting in partial failure of the battery 2. As shown in FIG5 , at this time, the protruding structure 8110 is in contact with at least one battery cell 6, which can share the pressure on the weld and tab 820 to the protruding structure 8110, and then to the fixing band 810. Due to the mechanical properties of the fixing band 810 itself, it can withstand greater pressure, thereby improving the safety of the battery 2.

[0069] Furthermore, the fixing belt 810 can also be glued to the battery cell 6. Specifically, as shown in Figure 6, the protruding structure 8110 is fixed to the battery cell shoulder 6110 by gluing. At this time, the pressure on the weld and the tab 820 can be shared by the fixing belt 810 and the glue, further improving the safety performance of the battery 2.

[0070] In an embodiment of the present application, the raised structure 8110 abuts against one side of the battery cell 6 close to at least one fixing band 810, which can reduce the impact of the displacement between the battery cells 6 on the stress applied to the bar 820 on the wiring harness isolation plate 8 that is electrically connected to the pole structure 610 when the battery cell 6 swells, thereby reducing the probability of the battery 2 failing due to excessive stress generated by the bar 820 due to the displacement of the battery cell 6, and improving the electrical connection performance of the battery 2.

[0071] In some embodiments, at least one fixing strap 810 is integrally injection molded with the wire harness isolation plate 8 .

[0072] In the embodiment of the present application, as shown in Figures 3, 4 and 7, the width of the fixing strap 810 along the second direction Y is related to the arrangement of the wiring harness plate tabs 820 and the size of the space between the tabs 820. Taking into account the space factor, if the tabs 820 are narrow, the thickness of the fixing strap 810 can be increased accordingly to improve the mechanical properties of the fixing strap 810. At least one fixing strap 810 is set on the wiring harness isolation plate 8, and the connection method of at least one fixing strap 810 to the wiring harness isolation plate 8 includes integral injection molding. The integral injection molding structure can not only reduce the process difficulty and complexity of manufacturing the wiring harness isolation plate 8 and the fixing strap 810, and is easy to use, but also increase the connection tightness between the at least one fixing strap 810 and the wiring harness isolation plate 8, enhance the restraint force of at least one fixing strap 810 on the battery 2 along the first direction X, and further improve the safety performance of the battery 2.

[0073] In the embodiment of the present application, the connection method between at least one fixing belt 810 and the wiring harness isolation plate 8 also includes welding connection, locking connection and adhesive connection, etc. The connection method can be set according to the specific situation, and the present application does not limit this.

[0074] In some embodiments, the material of at least one fixing strap 810 includes metal.

[0075] In the embodiment of the present application, a metal whose mechanical properties such as hardness, strength, and stiffness meet the assembly requirements can be selected to manufacture the fixing belt 810, such as steel. Steel, as an alloy metal, has a wide variety, excellent performance and low cost, and can well meet the functional requirements of the fixing belt 810 such as tensile strength, compression resistance, and wear resistance.

[0076] In the embodiment of the present application, the metal has good mechanical properties such as strength, hardness and rigidity, which can enhance the use effect of the at least one fixing belt 810 and thus improve the safety performance of the battery 2.

[0077] In some embodiments, as shown in Figures 3 and 4, the battery 2 includes at least two battery cells 6 arranged side by side along a second direction Y, where the second direction Y is perpendicular to the first direction X; along the second direction Y, at least one fixing belt 810 is located between the pole structures 610 of two adjacent battery cells 6 along the second direction Y.

[0078] In the embodiment of the present application, as shown in FIG3 , the second direction Y is perpendicular to the stacking direction of the multiple battery cells 6 and is the lengthwise direction of the battery cells 6. At least one fixing strap 810 is disposed between two electrode structures 610 of two adjacent battery cells 6 along the second direction Y. Specifically, the fixing strap 810 is disposed between two adjacent positive or negative electrode structures of the two battery cells 6. Furthermore, the width of the raised structure 8110 on the fixing strap 810 along the second direction Y is no greater than the distance between the two adjacent positive or negative electrode structures.

[0079] The number of fixing bands 810 in the battery 2 can be determined according to the number of battery cells 6 arranged adjacently along the second direction Y. For example, one fixing band 810 can be arranged between every two adjacent battery cells 6 along the second direction Y. This application does not limit this.

[0080] In an embodiment of the present application, in at least two rows of battery cells 6 arranged side by side along the second direction Y, at least one fixing strap 810 is arranged between the pole structures 610 of two adjacent battery cells 6 in one row. This not only reduces the impact of the at least one fixing strap 810 on the pole structure 610, but also increases the restraining force of the at least one fixing strap 810 on the battery 2, thereby reducing the probability of thermal failure of the battery 2 due to excessive swelling of the battery cell 6, and further improving the safety performance of the battery 2.

[0081] In a second aspect, the present application provides an electrical device, comprising the battery 2 described above, wherein the battery 2 is used to provide electrical energy to the electrical device.

[0082] The electrical device can be any of the aforementioned devices or systems using the battery 2. Since the electrical device includes the aforementioned battery 2, the electrical device has all the advantages of the aforementioned battery 2.

[0083] The battery module for an electrical device provided in an embodiment of the present application includes a battery 2 for providing electrical energy to the electrical device. A fixing strap 810 is provided on the wiring harness isolation plate 8 in the battery 2, and the ends of the fixing strap 810 are fixedly connected to two sides of the battery 2 along a first direction X. The fixing strap 810 provides a restraining force for the battery 2 along the first direction X, specifically for the multiple battery cells 6 included in the battery 2, thereby restraining two major surfaces of the multiple battery cells 6 along the first direction X. Therefore, when the battery cells 6 swell, the fixing strap 810 can restrain the two major surfaces of the battery cells 6 that swell to a greater extent, thereby reducing displacement of the multiple battery cells 6 along the first direction X caused by swelling and other phenomena, thereby reducing the probability of excessive swelling of the battery cells 6 and other phenomena. This, in turn, improves the safety performance of the battery 2, reduces the probability of thermal failure of the battery 2 due to excessive swelling of the battery cells 6, and mitigates safety hazards.
