Claims
1. A battery management unit configured to manage a number of battery packs installed in a vehicle and connected in parallel. The battery management unit comprises a storage section configured to store the first computer program used in the battery management unit and the second computer program used in each of the battery packs; a decision section configured to determine whether there is an inconsistency between the version information of the second computer program stored in each of the battery packs and the version information of each of the first and second computer programs stored in the storage section; and a notification section configured to notify the battery management unit's host computer about version information inconsistencies when they occur.

The battery management unit, as per claim 1, where, when the vehicle is started, the decision section determines whether there is an inconsistency. 3.The battery management system under Claim 1, whereby the notification section shall control the vehicle's transmitter in such a manner that the transmission of signals indicating inconsistencies in model information is carried out;
