Claims

ocr1. An insulating separator consisting of a conical body supporting a central conductor, arranged around the central conductor and axially aligned with the central conductor's axial direction, where the separator body comprises an intermodulatory space creating an axial region, an upper region creating a region from the intermodulatory space to the top of the cone, and a lower region creating a region from the intermodulatory space to the bottom of the cone. Each upper and lower region has a constant relative dielectric constant; the upper region has a higher relative dielectric constant than the lower region, and the intermodulatory space is assigned a relative dielectric constant equal to that of the upper region at the interface with the upper region, the intermodulatory space is assigned a relative dielectric constant equal to that of the lower region at the interface with the lower region, and in the intermodulatory space,The relative dielectric constant increases with a constant rate of increase from the interface to the bottom area to the interface to the top area.

2. An insulating separator according to claim 1 where the ratio of the intermediate area present relative to the entire body of the separator in the axial direction is set to 5% or more and 10% or less.

3. An insulating separator according to claim 1 where in the axial direction, the ratio of the intermediate area present relative to the entire body of the separator is set to 5% or more and 10% or less, and the ratio of the bottom area present relative to the entire body of the separator is set to 34% or more and 37% or less.

4. An insulating separator according to claim 1 where in the axial direction, the ratio of the intermediate area present relative to the entire body of the separator is set to 22% and the ratio of the bottom area present relative to the entire body of the separator is set to 33% or more and 44% or less.
