Description

Cleaning composition

[0001] The present invention relates to a cleaning composition containing capsules encapsulating a functional agent.

[0002] BACKGROUND ART Functional agents such as fragrances, sensates, moisturizers, and disinfectants are incorporated into products for a variety of purposes. For example, fragrances are used in products such as fabric softeners, laundry detergents, and body washes to scent the product itself, clothing, and the body. In such cases, it is necessary to stably maintain the fragrance so that the scent is not lost within the product. In order to sustain the effects of such functional agents, attempts have been made to encapsulate the functional agents in microcapsules and incorporate them into products. Furthermore, conventional microcapsules with wall materials such as melamine resins may be classified as microplastics due to future rule changes based on increased social environmental awareness, raising concerns about their environmental impact. On the other hand, silica capsules, because their wall materials are inorganic compounds, are not classified as microplastics. If silica capsules can be incorporated into products, they are expected to reduce environmental impact.

[0003] Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2015-128762 discloses microcapsules having an average particle size of 0.5 μm or more and 50 μm or less, which are obtained by a predetermined manufacturing method and have a core made of one or more organic compounds, a first shell that encapsulates the core and contains silica as a constituent component, and a second shell that encapsulates the first shell and contains silica as a constituent component.

[0004] JP 2009-504812 A discloses an aqueous liquid detergent and cleaning agent containing a surfactant and other usual components of detergents and cleaning agents, the agent containing at least one capsule, the capsule containing an active ingredient, aluminum silicate, and silica in a matrix, the aluminum silicate and silica being present in a ratio of 1:10 to 10:1.

[0005] JP 2011-517323 A discloses a fragrance carrier system containing an encapsulated fragrance composition, wherein the fragrance composition contains an emulsion of a fragrance compound in an aqueous medium and is encapsulated in a shell containing a silicon-containing material, the shell having an average diameter size of less than 30 micrometers, and a surfactant composition containing the fragrance carrier system.

[0006] SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present inventors have discovered that there is a problem in the washing process of textile products in that silica capsules containing functional agents that are adsorbed onto the textile products during washing are detached from the textile products during rinsing, and therefore the effectiveness of the silica capsules containing functional agents (e.g., the release of fragrance from the fragrance encapsulated in the silica capsules) cannot be obtained when the textile products are used (e.g., when the clothing is worn).

[0007] That is, the present invention provides a detergent composition that suppresses detachment from a textile product of silica capsules encapsulating a functional agent adsorbed on the textile product during rinsing in the washing treatment of the textile product, a method for producing the same, a method for washing textile products, and a kit for use with the detergent composition.

[0008] The present invention relates to a detergent composition containing the following components (A) and (B), and water: Component (A): silica capsules encapsulating a functional agent; and Component (B): a cationic polymer (excluding those encapsulated in silica capsules of component (A)).

[0009] The present invention also relates to a method for washing textile products, which comprises washing textile products with a cleaning liquid obtained by mixing the detergent composition of the present invention with water, and then rinsing the textile products with water.

[0010] The present invention also relates to a cleaning solution kit comprising a first agent containing the component (A) and a second agent containing the component (B).

[0011] The present invention also relates to a method for producing a detergent composition, which comprises mixing the component (A), the component (B), and water.

[0012] According to the present invention, there are provided a detergent composition, a method for producing the same, a method for cleaning textile products, and a cleaning solution kit, which suppress the detachment from the textile products of silica capsules encapsulating a functional agent adsorbed on the textile products during rinsing in the cleaning treatment of the textile products.

[0013] Modes for Carrying Out the Invention The reason why the detergent composition, textile cleaning method, and cleaning solution kit of the present invention suppress the detachment of silica capsules encapsulating functional agents adsorbed on textile products from the textile products during rinsing in the cleaning process of textile products is not entirely clear, but it is presumed as follows. During the cleaning process of textile products, component (A), whose capsule surface is negatively charged, and component (B), which has a cationic group and is positively charged, are thought to have an electrostatic interaction, and these two components form a complex and are adsorbed onto the textiles. Furthermore, component (B) is a polymer, so it has a certain degree of adhesiveness, and by forming a complex with component (A), component (A) imparts a certain degree of adhesiveness to component (A), which does not have adhesiveness by itself. Therefore, it is presumed that the detachment of component (A) adsorbed on the textile product is suppressed even when mechanical force from the water flow is applied to the textile product during the subsequent rinsing process.

[0014] [Detergent Composition] <Component (A)> The detergent composition of the present invention contains functional agent-encapsulated silica capsules as component (A). Examples of the functional agent-encapsulated silica capsules of component (A) include those having a shell containing silica as a constituent component and a core encapsulated in the shell and containing one or more functional agents.

[0015] (Shell) Component (A) may have a shell containing silica as a constituent component. The shell of component (A) may be composed of silica as a constituent component in part or substantially in whole. From the viewpoint of preventing the functional agent-encapsulated silica capsules from being released from textile products during rinsing, the silica is preferably generated from raw silica that generates a silanol compound through hydrolysis of alkoxysilane or the like. From the viewpoint of preventing the functional agent-encapsulated silica capsules from being released from textile products during rinsing, the shell of component (A) of the present invention is preferably formed by a sol-gel reaction using an alkoxysilane as a precursor. In the present invention, the term "sol-gel reaction" refers to a reaction in which an alkoxysilane undergoes hydrolysis and polycondensation to form silica, a constituent component of the shell, through a sol and gel state. Specifically, for example, tetraalkoxysilane is hydrolyzed, and the silanol compound undergoes a dehydration condensation reaction and a dealcoholization condensation reaction to generate a siloxane oligomer, and the dehydration condensation reaction further progresses to form silica.

[0016] The raw silica may be, for example, at least one selected from the group consisting of silicon tetrachloride, tetraalkoxysilane, alkylalkoxysilane, water glass, and metal silicate. Among the raw silicas, tetraalkoxysilane or alkylalkoxysilane is preferred, and tetraalkoxysilane is more preferred, from the viewpoint of preventing the functional agent-containing silica capsules from being released from the textile product during rinsing.

[0017] Specific examples of tetraalkoxysilanes include tetramethoxysilane, tetraethoxysilane, and tetrapropoxysilane, and from the viewpoint of preventing the functional agent-containing silica capsules from being released from textile products during rinsing, tetramethoxysilane and tetraethoxysilane are preferred, and tetraethoxysilane is more preferred.Specific examples of alkylalkoxysilanes include methyltrimethoxysilane, methyltriethoxysilane, ethyltrimethoxysilane, ethyltriethoxysilane, phenyltrimethoxysilane, phenyltriethoxysilane, dimethyldimethoxysilane, methylphenyldimethoxysilane, dimethyldiethoxysilane, diphenyldiethoxysilane, methylphenyldiethoxysilane, ethylphenyldimethoxysilane, diethyldiethoxysilane, ethylphenyldiethoxysilane, trimethylmethoxysilane, trimethylethoxysilane, dimethylphenylethoxysilane, triethylmethoxysilane, and triethylethoxysilane. These can be used alone or in combination of two or more. Condensates of these compounds can also be used.

[0018] Furthermore, the shell of the silica capsule of the present invention may contain an inorganic polymer other than silica as a constituent component, provided that the effect of the present invention is not impaired. In the present invention, the inorganic polymer refers to a polymer containing an inorganic element. Examples of such an inorganic polymer include a polymer consisting of only inorganic elements, a polymer whose main chain consists of only inorganic elements and has organic groups as side chains or substituents, and the like. From the viewpoint of preventing the functional agent-encapsulated silica capsules from being detached from textile products during rinsing, the inorganic polymer is preferably a metal oxide containing a metal element or a semimetal element, and more preferably a metal alkoxide [M(OR) x

[0033] is a polymer formed by a reaction similar to the sol-gel reaction of silica described above, using a precursor such as

[0034] . Here, M is a metal or semi-metal element, and R is a hydrocarbon group. Examples of metal or semi-metal elements that constitute metal alkoxides include titanium, zirconium, aluminum, and zinc.

[0019] The shell may have a first shell and a second shell, and the (A) component may have a first shell encapsulating a core containing one or more functional agents, and a second shell encapsulating the first shell. That is, the (A) component may have a second shell containing silica as a constituent, a first shell encapsulated in the second shell and containing silica as a constituent, and a core encapsulated in the first shell and containing one or more functional agents. Furthermore, the (A) component of the present invention may have a third shell encapsulating the second shell and made of an organic polymer compound. Such a multi-layer shell can retain functional agents such as fragrances for a long period of time, and is preferable from the viewpoint of preventing the functional agent-encapsulated silica capsules from being released from the textile product during rinsing.

[0020] The thickness of the shell (the first shell when the first and second shells are present) is preferably 5 nm or more, and preferably 20 nm or less, more preferably 15 nm or less, from the viewpoint of preventing the functional agent-containing silica capsules from being detached from the textile product during rinsing. Also, from the viewpoint of preventing the functional agent-containing silica capsules from being detached from the textile product during rinsing, the shell (first shell) is preferably a dense layer with as few pores as possible, in order to maintain the encapsulated functional agent for a long period of time.

[0021] When component (A) has a second shell, the thickness of the second shell is preferably 10 nm or more, more preferably 20 nm or more, and preferably 100 nm or less, more preferably 80 nm or less, from the viewpoint of suppressing the release of the functional agent-containing silica capsules from the textile product during rinsing. From the viewpoint of suppressing the release of the functional agent-containing silica capsules from the textile product during rinsing, the second shell preferably has a mesoporous structure, which is a high-order structure in which silica is present not only in the direction along the interface with the first shell but also in the thickness direction. Here, the "mesoporous structure" in the second shell refers to a structure in which the diameter of the pores (so-called mesopores) present in the structure is preferably greater than 2 nm, more preferably 10 nm or more, even more preferably 30 nm or more, and preferably 50 nm or less, more preferably 45 nm or less, and even more preferably 40 nm or less, from the viewpoint of suppressing the release of the functional agent-containing silica capsules from the textile product during rinsing. By having a mesoporous structure in the second shell, component (A) has high mechanical strength.

[0022] The average thickness of the first and second shells of component (A) and the pore diameters of the first and second shells can be measured by observation with a transmission electron microscope (TEM). Specifically, the thicknesses of the first and second shells and the pore diameters of the first and second shells are measured on a photograph under a transmission electron microscope. This operation is performed with the field of view changed five times. The thicknesses of the first and second shells and the distribution of pore diameters are determined from the obtained data. The magnification of the transmission electron microscope is typically 10,000 to 100,000 times, but this is adjusted appropriately depending on the size of component (A). Here, a transmission electron microscope (TEM) such as the "JEM-2100" (manufactured by JEOL Ltd.) can be used.

[0023] (Core) The core of the component (A) of the present invention contains one or more functional agents. The functional agent may be, for example, an oil-soluble liquid. When the ClogP value of the functional agent is 2 or more, the encapsulation rate of the functional agent within component (A) (hereinafter also referred to as the "encapsulation rate") is improved. The same applies when the functional agent is a fragrance composition containing multiple fragrances; when the ClogP value of the fragrance composition is 2 or more, the encapsulation rate (encapsulation rate) of the fragrance composition within component (A) can be improved. Here, the ClogP value is the "calculated logP (ClogP)" calculated by the method described by A. Leo in "Comprehensive Medicinal Chemistry," Vol. 4, (C. Hansch, P.G. Sammes, J.B. Taylor and C.A. Ramsden, Eds.), p. 295, Pergamon Press, 1990, and is the ClogP value calculated using the program CLOGP v4.01. In the case of a fragrance composition containing multiple fragrances, the CLogP value of the fragrance composition can be determined by multiplying the CLogP value of each fragrance by its volume ratio in the fragrance composition and taking the sum of the results.

[0029] From the viewpoint of retaining the functional agent, the oil-water interfacial tension of the functional agent is preferably 7 mN / m or more, more preferably 10 mN / m or more, and even more preferably 13 mN / m or more at 25° C. The oil-water interfacial tension of the functional agent can be measured, for example, with a contact angle meter "DropMaster DM-501" (trade name, manufactured by Kyowa Interface Science Co., Ltd.).

[0030] From the viewpoints of incorporation into products and retention of functional agents, the volume average particle size of component (A) is preferably 0.5 μm or more, more preferably 0.7 μm or more, even more preferably 1 μm or more, and preferably 50 μm or less, more preferably 10 μm or less, and even more preferably 5 μm or less. In the present invention, the volume average particle size of component (A) can be measured by the method described in the Examples. For example, it can be measured using a laser diffraction / scattering particle size distribution analyzer "LA-960" (trade name, manufactured by Horiba, Ltd.). In this case, the measurement is performed using a flow cell, with water as the medium and a refractive index set to 1.40-0i. A dispersion containing component (A) is added to the flow cell, and measurement is performed at a concentration showing a transmittance of around 90%, to determine the volume average particle size.

[0031] When component (A) has a second shell containing silica as a constituent, a first shell encapsulated in the second shell and containing silica as a constituent, and a core encapsulated in the first shell and containing one or more functional agents, component (A) can be obtained, for example, by a production method including the following steps (1) and (2): Step (1): mixing and emulsifying an organic phase containing one or more functional agents and raw silica (e.g., tetraalkoxysilane) into an aqueous phase containing a surfactant (e.g., a cationic surfactant), and then carrying out a sol-gel reaction under acidic conditions to form a shell, thereby forming capsules encapsulating the functional agent; Step (2): adding raw silica (e.g., tetraalkoxysilane) to the dispersion containing the capsules obtained in step (1), and carrying out a sol-gel reaction to form capsules having a second shell encapsulating the first shell. More specifically, component (A) can be obtained, for example, by a production method including the following steps (1a) and (2a), and further including the following step (3a) as necessary. Step (1a): A step of emulsifying an organic phase containing one or more functional agents and a tetraalkoxysilane in an aqueous phase containing a surfactant (e.g., a cationic surfactant), wherein the amount of the tetraalkoxysilane is 10% by mass or more and 60% by mass or less relative to the functional agent, and carrying out a sol-gel reaction under acidic conditions to form capsules having a core and a first shell. Step (2a): A step of further adding a tetraalkoxysilane to the aqueous dispersion containing the capsules obtained in step (1a), and carrying out a sol-gel reaction while maintaining the initial pH of the sol-gel reaction in step (2a) lower than the initial pH of the sol-gel reaction in step (1a), to form capsules having a second shell encapsulating the first shell. Step (3a): A step of mixing the dispersion containing the capsules obtained in step (2a) with an aqueous solution containing an organic polymer compound (e.g., an anionic synthetic polymer compound), to form capsules having a third shell.

[0032] Here, the "sol-gel reaction" in steps (1) and (2), and steps (1a) and (2a) is a reaction in which raw material silica (silica precursor) is hydrolyzed and polycondensed under acidic conditions to polymerize while eliminating alcohol, thereby synthesizing silica for the first shell and the second shell.

[0033] The production method can be carried out with reference to, for example, JP 2015-128762 A and JP 2017-114802 A. In the production method, the component (A) is usually obtained in a state of being dispersed in water. Depending on the application, this aqueous dispersion can be used as is, but in some cases, the component (A) is separated and used. As a separation method, filtration, centrifugation, etc. can be used.

Note that the phrase "a cationic group is bound, directly or via a linking group, to a group obtained by removing a hydrogen atom from a hydroxyl group of a polysaccharide or derivative thereof" does not include a bonding scheme in which a cationic atom of the cationic group, such as a nitrogen cation, is directly and covalently bound to the group obtained by removing a hydrogen atom from a hydroxyl group of a polysaccharide or derivative thereof, i.e., an oxygen atom.

[0039] The polysaccharide may be, for example, one or more polysaccharides selected from cellulose, guar gum, and starch, from the viewpoint of preventing the functional agent-encapsulated silica capsules from being released from textile products during rinsing. Examples of polysaccharide derivatives that are precursor compounds for component (B1) include polysaccharide derivatives in which some or all of the hydrogen atoms of the hydroxyl groups of the polysaccharide are substituted with hydroxyalkyl groups having 1 to 4 carbon atoms (hereinafter also referred to as hydroxyalkyl-substituted derivatives). From the viewpoint of preventing the functional agent-encapsulated silica capsules from being released from textile products during rinsing, the hydroxyalkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms is preferably a hydroxyalkyl group having 2 to 4 carbon atoms. [0044] Component (B1) may have a hydrocarbon group having from 1 to 18 carbon atoms. That is, component (B1) may be a polysaccharide derivative having both a cationic group and a hydrocarbon group having from 1 to 18 carbon atoms. Among component (B1), polysaccharide derivatives having a hydrocarbon group having from 1 to 18 carbon atoms include polysaccharide derivatives in which a hydrocarbon group having from 1 to 18 carbon atoms is bonded, either directly or via a linking group [hereinafter referred to as linking group (2)], to a polysaccharide or a derivative thereof that is a precursor compound of component (B1).

[0045] The linking group (2) can be one or more groups selected from an alkyleneoxy group having from 1 to 3 carbon atoms and optionally having a hydroxy group, a polyoxyalkylene group in which the alkylene group has from 1 to 3 carbon atoms, a carbonyl group, a carbonyloxy group, and an oxycarbonyl group. One linking group (2) may be one of the above-mentioned linking groups, or a combination of two or more types. The polysaccharide derivative may contain one or more types of linking groups. In the present invention, when the hydrocarbon group is linked to the oxygen atom of the linking group (2), the number of carbon atoms in the hydrocarbon group in component (B1) represents the number of carbon atoms in the hydrocarbon group bonded to the oxygen atom. When the hydrocarbon group is linked via a carbonyl group, an acyl group is linked to the hydrocarbon group. In this case, the number of carbon atoms in the hydrocarbon group in component (B1) represents the number of carbon atoms in the acyl group. Linking via a carbonyloxy group and an oxycarbonyl group also includes the carbon numbers of these groups. When a 1,2-epoxyalkane is used to introduce a hydrocarbon group into a polysaccharide or polysaccharide derivative, this number represents the number of carbon atoms in the aliphatic hydrocarbon group bonded to the ether group generated from the epoxy group. The epoxy group portion becomes the linking group (2). For example, when a hydrocarbon group is introduced into a polysaccharide or polysaccharide derivative using 1,2-epoxytetradecane, the number of carbon atoms in the hydrocarbon group is 12. That is, an oxyethylene group, which is the linking group (2), is bonded to a hydroxyl group of the polysaccharide or polysaccharide derivative, and an alkyl group having 12 carbon atoms (dodecyl group) is bonded via this linking group. The same applies when an alkyl glycidyl ether is used.

[0046] Among the polysaccharide derivatives of component (B1) having a cationic group and a hydrocarbon group having from 1 to 18 carbon atoms, examples include polysaccharide derivatives in which a hydrocarbon group having from 1 to 18 carbon atoms is bonded to the oxygen atoms formed by removing hydrogen atoms from some or all of the hydroxyl groups of the hydroxyalkyl substituents, either directly or via a linking group (2), preferably via a linking group (2), from the viewpoint of preventing the functional agent-encapsulating silica capsules from being detached from the textile product during rinsing.

[0047] The number of carbon atoms in the hydrocarbon group having from 1 to 18 carbon atoms is, from the viewpoint of preventing the functional agent-encapsulated silica capsules from being detached from the textile product during rinsing, preferably 2 or more, more preferably 4 or more, even more preferably 6 or more, still more preferably 8 or more, still more preferably 10 or more, and preferably 16 or less, more preferably 14 or less. From the viewpoint of preventing the functional agent-encapsulated silica capsules from being detached from the textile product during rinsing, the hydrocarbon group having from 1 to 18 carbon atoms is preferably an aliphatic hydrocarbon group.

[0048] The degree of substitution (degree of alkylation) of the hydrocarbon group having 1 to 18 carbon atoms in the polysaccharide derivative having a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 18 carbon atoms, which is component (B1), is preferably 0.0001 or more, more preferably 0.001 or more, even more preferably 0.01 or more, and preferably 0.4 or less, more preferably 0.2 or less, even more preferably 0.1 or less, and still more preferably 0.05 or less, from the viewpoint of preventing the functional agent-encapsulating silica capsules from being detached from the textile product during rinsing.

[0049] In the present invention, the degrees of substitution of component (B1) with hydrocarbon groups and cationic groups having from 1 to 18 carbon atoms each refer to the number of substitutions of the group per constituent monosaccharide unit, i.e., the molar average degree of substitution (MS). For example, when the polysaccharide is cellulose, the "degree of substitution of a group" refers to the average number of moles of the group introduced per mole of anhydroglucose unit. The degrees of substitution of cationic groups and hydrocarbon groups having from 1 to 18 carbon atoms of a polysaccharide derivative can each be determined by the methods described in the Examples.

[0050] The component (B1) may also have anionic groups, but the ratio of the degree of substitution of the anionic groups in the component (B1) to the sum of the degree of substitution of the cationic groups and the degree of substitution of the hydrocarbon groups having from 1 to 18 carbon atoms, expressed as degree of substitution of the anionic groups / (degree of substitution of the cationic groups+degree of substitution of the hydrocarbon groups having from 1 to 18 carbon atoms), is preferably 3 or less, more preferably 1.7 or less, even more preferably 1.5 or less, still more preferably 1 or less, still more preferably 0.5 or less, and still more preferably 0.1 or less, from the viewpoint of preventing the functional agent-encapsulating silica capsules from being detached from the textile product during rinsing, and may be 0 or more, and is preferably 0.

[0051] From the viewpoint of preventing the functional agent-encapsulating silica capsules from being released from textile products during rinsing, the weight-average molecular weight of the component (B1) of the present invention is preferably 100,000 or more, more preferably 500,000 or more, even more preferably 1,000,000 or more, still more preferably 1,500,000 or more, and preferably 5,000,000 or less, more preferably 4,000,000 or less, even more preferably 3,000,000 or less, still more preferably 2,500,000 or less, and still more preferably 2,000,000 or less. The weight-average molecular weight of the component (B1) can be calculated in terms of polyethylene glycol by the above-mentioned GPC (gel permeation chromatography).

[0222] Examples <Ingredients> The following ingredients were used in the examples and comparative examples. <Component (A)> a-1: Fragrance-containing silica capsule (1) produced by the following method

[0223] (Production of a-1) Step (1) 3.0 g of Coatamine 60W (trade name, manufactured by Kao Corporation, cetyltrimethylammonium chloride, active ingredient 30% by mass) was diluted with 750 g of ion-exchanged water to obtain an aqueous phase component. An oil phase component prepared by mixing 200 g of model fragrance A in the formulation shown in Table 1 with 50 g of tetraethoxysilane (hereinafter also referred to as "TEOS") was added to this aqueous phase component, and the mixture was emulsified at a rotation speed of 8,500 rpm using a homomixer (manufactured by HsiangTai, model: HM-310; the same applies hereinafter) to obtain an emulsion. The volume-average particle size of the emulsified droplets at this time was 1.4 μm. The pH of the resulting emulsion was adjusted to 3.8 using a 1% aqueous sulfuric acid solution, and then transferred to a separable flask equipped with a stirring blade and a cooler. The liquid was stirred at 200 rpm for 24 hours while maintaining the liquid temperature at 30°C, yielding an aqueous dispersion containing silica capsules having a core made of model fragrance A and a first shell made of silica.

[0224] Step (2) While stirring the aqueous dispersion obtained in Step (1) at a liquid temperature of 30°C, 21 g of TEOS was added dropwise over 420 minutes. After the dropwise addition, stirring was continued for an additional 17 hours and then cooled, thereby forming a second shell encapsulating the first shell, and an aqueous dispersion containing silica capsules in which model fragrance A was encapsulated by amorphous silica (the content of model fragrance A (functional agent) in the silica capsules was 19.4% by mass). The volume-average particle size of the silica capsules was 2.1 μm. The volume-average particle size of the emulsified droplets and silica capsules was measured using a laser diffraction / scattering particle size distribution analyzer "LA-960" (trade name, manufactured by Horiba, Ltd.). Measurements were performed using a flow cell, with the medium set to water and the refractive index set to 1.40-0i. The emulsion or the aqueous dispersion containing silica capsules was added to the flow cell, and measurements were performed at a concentration that showed a transmittance of approximately 90%, and the volume-average particle size was determined on a volume basis. The thickness of the first shell was about 5 nm, and the thickness of the second shell was 5 to 30 nm.

[0225] Model fragrance A Model fragrance A (volume average ClogP: 3.9, specific gravity: 0.96) having the composition shown in Table 1 was used as the organic compound encapsulated in the silica capsules. The volume average ClogP value of the model fragrance was calculated as the sum of the ClogP values of each fragrance component contained in the model fragrance multiplied by the volume fraction of each component in the model fragrance. In this calculation, all fragrance components contained in model fragrance A at a content of 0.5% by mass or more were taken into consideration, and fragrance components contained in model fragrance A at a content of less than 0.5% by mass, for which the specific gravity and ClogP value were known, were also included in the calculation.

[0229] The degree of substitution and weight-average molecular weight of component (B1) were measured by the following method. (1) Measurement of degree of substitution - Pretreatment of polysaccharide derivative 1 g of the polysaccharide derivative (component (B1)) was dissolved in 100 g of water, and the aqueous solution was then placed in a dialysis membrane (Spectrapore, molecular weight cutoff 1000) and dialyzed for 2 days. The resulting aqueous solution was freeze-dried using a freeze dryer (eyela, FDU1100) to obtain a pretreated polysaccharide derivative.

[0230] Calculation of the amount of cationic substrate by Kjeldahl method: 200 mg of the polysaccharide derivative pretreated by the above method was weighed out, 10 mL of concentrated sulfuric acid and one Kjeldahl tablet (Merck) were added, and the mixture was subjected to thermal decomposition in a Kjeldahl decomposition apparatus (BUCHI, K-432). After completion of decomposition, 30 mL of ion-exchanged water was added to the sample, and the nitrogen content (% by mass) of the sample was determined using an automatic Kjeldahl distillation apparatus (BUCHI, K-370), to calculate the mass of the cationic group.

[0231] Calculation of hydrocarbon group (alkyl group) mass by Zeisel method: 200 mg of the polysaccharide derivative pretreated by the above method and 220 mg of adipic acid were weighed into a 10 mL vial (Mighty Vial No. 3), and 3 mL of internal standard solution (tetradecane / o-xylene = 1 / 25 (v / v)) and 3 mL of hydroiodic acid were added, followed by sealing. Additionally, samples for the calibration curve were prepared by adding 2.4 mg or 9 mg of 1-iodododecane instead of the polysaccharide derivative. Each sample was heated at 160°C for 2 hours using a block heater (PIERCE, Reacti-Therm III Heating / Stirring module) while stirring with a stirrer tip. After allowing the sample to cool, the upper layer (o-xylene layer) was collected and analyzed by gas chromatography (GC) (Shimadzu Corporation, QD2010plus) under the following conditions: GC analysis conditions: Column: Agilent HP-1 (length: 30 m, liquid phase film thickness: 0.25 μL, inner diameter: 32 mm), split ratio: 20, column temperature: 100°C (2 min) → 10°C / min → 300°C (15 min), injector temperature: 300°C, detector: HID, detector temperature: 330°C, injection amount: 2 μL. The mass of the alkyl group in the sample was determined from the amount of 1-iodododecane detected by GC.

[0232] Measurement of hydroxyalkyl group mass This was carried out in the same manner as in the measurement of the alkyl group mass described above, by quantifying alkyl iodide derived from the hydroxyalkyl group.

[0233] Calculation of the degree of substitution of cationic groups and alkyl groups The mass of the skeleton of the polysaccharide derivative was calculated from the masses of the above-mentioned cationic groups and alkyl groups and the total sample mass, and each was converted into an amount of substance (mol) to calculate the molar average degree of substitution of the cationic groups and alkyl groups.
