Claims

OCR07AP1. Vehicle underbody structure, comprising: battery positioned at the underside of the vehicle relative to the vehicle cabin; frame positioned externally, in the vehicle width direction, of the battery, positioned in the height direction of a portion of the frame that overlaps the battery when viewed in the vehicle width direction; and shock-absorbing components located inside the frame and including enclosed cross-sectional structural units with a cross-sectional shape, when viewed in the vehicle width direction, as a closed cross-section, enclosed cross-sectional structural unit protruding in the vehicle width direction.

2. Vehicle underbody structure of claim 1, where the frame comprises curved beams mounted on a portion of the vehicle underbody and protruding in the front-rear direction of the vehicle, and shock-absorbing components located inside the curved beams.

3. Vehicle underbody structure of claim 2, where shock-absorbing components include reinforcing panels made of metal and bent in the front-rear direction of the vehicle.

4. Vehicle underbody structure of claim 3,Where: The reinforcing panels include the top panel, which is mounted on the upper part of the vehicle as the shock-absorbing component, and the bottom panel, which is mounted on the lower part of the vehicle as the shock-absorbing component. The top panel is installed by multiple top components, each with a predefined cross-sectional shape—i.e., convex in the direction toward the top of the vehicle and open in the direction toward the top of the vehicle when viewed in the vehicle's width direction. The top components are arranged in the front-to-rear direction of the vehicle. The bottom panel is installed by multiple bottom components, each with a predefined cross-sectional shape—i.e., convex in the direction toward the bottom of the vehicle and open in the direction toward the top of the vehicle when viewed in the vehicle's width direction. The bottom components are arranged in the front-to-rear direction of the vehicle, with the convex shapes of the top and bottom components overlapping when viewed in the top-to-bottom direction of the vehicle. Multiple enclosed cross-sectional structural units, including the top and bottom components, are interconnected in the top-to-bottom direction of the vehicle, resulting in the top and bottom panels being welded together.

5. The underbody structure of claim 2, where the enclosed cross-sectional structural units are distributed at a higher density at positions where the curved beams overlap in the height direction, when viewed in the vehicle width direction, with at least one crossbeam, which is fitted with a portion of the underbody and which protrudes in the vehicle width direction, or a reinforcing element, which is fitted with a portion of the battery box and which protrudes in the vehicle width direction.

6. The underbody structure of claim 3, where the impact-absorbing components include reinforcing panels, which are bent in a sawtooth shape when viewed in the vehicle width direction.

7. The underbody structure of claim 3, where the impact-absorbing components include reinforcing panels, which are cut in a square wave shape when viewed in the vehicle width direction.

8. The underbody structure of claim 3, where the impact-absorbing components include reinforcing panels,which is cut in a wavy shape when viewed in the vehicle width direction.

9. Vehicle lower body structure of claim 3, where: the curved beam includes the outer curved beam panel mounted on the outer part in the vehicle width direction of the curved beam and the inner curved beam panel mounted on the inner part in the vehicle width direction of the curved beam, and the reinforcing panel is welded to the outer curved beam panel or the inner curved beam panel;
