Claims

Toothpaste composition consisting of: Component (A): Sorbitol and / or glycerin; and Component (B): Water-soluble polymers that are (B-1) and (B-2) below; Component (B-1): Xanthan gum; and Component (B-2): One or more compounds selected from the group containing alginic acid, its salts, carrageenan, polyacrylic acid and its salts, where the amount of Component (A) is 32% by mass to 58% by mass; and the toothpaste composition is virtually free of menthol or linalool and alginate.
2. Toothpaste composition under Reputation 1 where the amount of component (B-1) is 0.05% by mass to 1.5% by mass.
3. Toothpaste composition under Reputation 1 or 2 where the amount of component (B-2) is 0.2% by mass to 2.6% by mass.
4. Toothpaste composition under any of Reputation 1 to 3 where the ratio ((B-1) / (B-2)) of the amount of component (B-1) to the amount of component (B-2) is 0.05 to 1.
