Claims

OCR09WP23 / 06 / 25691. The color change sensor component for creatinine detection consists of copper ions, palladium ions, and trisodium 5-[(E)-(3-carboxy-5-methyl-4-oxocyclohexa-2,5-dien-1-ylidene)(2,6-dichloro-3-sulfonatophenyl)methyl]-3-methyl-2-oxidobenzoate (Trisodium 5-[(E)-(3-carboxy-5-methyl-4-oxocyclohexa-2,5-dien-1-ylidene)(2,6-dichloro-3-sulfonatophenyl)methyl]-3-methyl-2-oxidobenzoate or ChromeAzurolS) in an aqueous solvent, where the copper ions are present in the range of 5 to 30 millimolar. Where the amount of palladium ions is in the range of 1 to 5 millimolar, where the amount of trisodium 5-[(e)-(3-carboxy-5-methyl-4-oxocyclohexa-2,5-dien-1-ilidine)(2,6-dichloro-3-sulfonatophenyl)methyl]-3-methyl-2-oxidobenzoate is in the range of 0.03 to 0.08 millimolar, where the molar ratio of copper ions to palladium ions to trisodium 5-[(e)-(3-carboxy-5-methyl-4-oxocyclohexa-2,5-dien-1-ilidine)(2,6-dichloro-3-sulfonatophenyl)methyl]-3-methyl-2-oxidobenzoate is in the range of 2.5-20 to 1-2 to 0.1-0.32.The color change sensor component for creatinine detection under claim 1 where the copper ion is selectable from copper chloride (CuCl2), copper acetate (Cu(OAc)2), or copper sulfate (CuSO4) ions.
