The threaded body of the screw rod is threaded into a locking washer, and the end cap is a hollow, semicircular plate that fits snugly onto the outer edge of the locking wing of the locking washer. The locking washer is a circular plate with a central threaded hole for screwing into the threaded body of the screw rod. The upper edge of the hole has ridges to support the screw's threading, while the lower edge of the locking washer has sharp, angled wings for securely fitting onto the inner surface of the end cap.
