Abstract

OCR 10KL (08 / 10 / 2568) This invention relates to a formula for cultivating Chaetoferra algae, a type of freshwater algae. The cells often cluster together to form spherical or jelly-like masses, which are a type of mucus. The cells inside have a characteristic appearance of... The branching filaments release mucus or polysaccharides outside the cell, acting as a nutrient medium. The newly invented device can cultivate Chaetoflora algae to produce high levels of polysaccharides. It consists of dipotassium hydrogen phosphate, magnesium sulfate heptahydrate, and calcium chloride. Citric acid, ferric ammonium citrate, ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid. Sodium carbonate, boric acid, manganese chloride tetrahydrate, zinc sulfate heptahydrate. Sodium molybdate pentahydrate, copper sulfate pentahydrate, cobalt nitrate hexahydrate and sodium nitrate, by culturing under controlled temperature batch culture conditions. They were cultured in cylindrical reactors for 9 days.
