OCR 09WP 26 / 05 / 2569 1. The process of producing micrometer-sized calcium carbonate spheres from eggshells involves the following steps: Step 1. Preparing calcium chloride solution from eggshells. A. Add the washed and crushed eggshells (no larger than 425 micrometers) to the acid solution. 2 M hydrochloric acid at a ratio of 1:10 by grams to volume was used, and the precipitate was then filtered out. Removing the suspended particles will yield a calcium chloride solution. Step 2. Precipitation of calcium carbonate using a sodium carbonate solution. B. Add sodium carbonate solution to a calcium chloride solution with a concentration of 0.70-1.74 molar. A concentration of 0.70-1.74 molar in equal volume ratios. C. Stir the mixture from step 2.1 at a speed of 800-1000 rpm for 0.5 seconds to 90 minutes. d. Filter the suspended solids obtained from step 2.2 and wash it with deionized water 2-3 times. Use 20-30 milliliters at a time, then dry in an oven at 105-115 degrees Celsius for 2-3 hours. This will yield spherical calcium carbonate with particle sizes of 6-20 micrometers.
