Abstract

OCR This invention describes a process for extracting polysaccharides from durian seeds using fresh durian seeds. The seeds are dried in a hot air dryer, then ground finely with a grinder and extracted. Add water and let it cool. Filter through cheesecloth, collecting the aqueous extract. Then filter it again through cheesecloth. Carefully filter the mixture, being careful not to stir up the sediment. Discard the sediment from the container. Then, take the resulting aqueous extract. The polysaccharides are precipitated, then left to float on top for collection. Polysaccharides are then dried to obtain dry polysaccharide extracts, which can be used as ingredients in cosmetics. The goal is to scale up (scalc-up) the polysaccharide extraction from durian seeds by at least 10 times. OCR (February 15, 2024) 1. The process of extracting polysaccharides from durian seeds involves the following steps: A. Prepare 100 kilograms of fresh durian seeds and dry them in a hot air dryer at a temperature of 40-60 degrees Celsius for 1-4 days. B. Next, grind the dried seeds finely using a grinder. Extract the mixture with water at a ratio of 1:10 by weight. Boil at a temperature of 70-90 degrees Celsius for 1-3 hours. C. Let it cool, then filter it through a cheesecloth. Store the aqueous extract at 2-8 degrees Celsius for 1-3 nights. d. Filter the mixture again using a cheesecloth, carefully avoiding stirring up the sediment. Discard the sediment at the bottom of the container. J. The aqueous extract obtained was precipitated with polysaccharides using 75-95 percent ethanol at a ratio of 1:2 by volume. f. Then, store at a temperature of 2-8 degrees Celsius for 1-3 nights. Polysaccharide precipitate will float to the top. B. Filter the polysaccharides and then dry them at 40-70 degrees Celsius for 20-30 hours to obtain dry polysaccharide extracts.
