OCR 10KL (16 / 09 / 2568) 1. The process for preparing yeast starter cultures for ethanol production from cassava using the cellulosic ethanol process involves the following steps: A. Cassava sludge is processed by taking cassava sludge that has been distilled and separated using a pulp and water separator, adjusting the moisture content to be no less than 85%, and then heating it in a pressure reactor at a temperature of 160-200 degrees Celsius, while maintaining... Pressure at that temperature range for 15 minutes. B. Separate the solids and liquids while maintaining the moisture content of the solids at 65-75%. C. Add cellulase enzyme and stir the slurry for 24 hours at a temperature of 45-55 degrees Celsius to break down the cellulose chains into sugars. d. Separate the solids and liquids. Add powdered or fresh yeast to the liquid, maintaining a cell concentration of 1 x 10⁷ cells per milliliter. Stir the mixture under these conditions for 24 hours. Finally, add the remaining liquid to the fermentation reactor.
