Abstract
Claims
OCR09WP16 / 03 / 25691.Frame set(1) which comprises:frame(10) which comprises an outward-facing side(12) which is structured to fit into the wall(100) and an inward-facing side(14) which is structured to support the attachment of a door or window(200); and liner(20) which is structured to fit into the frame(10) and to cover the connection between the outward-facing side(12) and the wall(100), where the frame(10) and liner(20) are prepared from primarily cellulose fiber composite material and the frame(10) also comprises the first matching section(16) and the liner. The frame (20) is also incorporated with a second coupling (22), in which the first (16) and second (22) couplings are arranged in a way that significantly limits the relative movement between the frame (10) and the shim (20), and in which such coupling creates a gap (30) between the frame (10) and the shim (20) for the filling of adhesive to effectively bond the shim (20) to the frame (10). A unique feature is that either the first (16) or the second (22) coupling is incorporated with an adhesion-enhancing surface (16a,22a) having significantly greater wettability to the adhesive than other areas of the frame(10) and the frame lining(20), and where the gap(30) is partially or completely enclosed by such adhesion-enhancing surfaces(16a,22a).
2. Frame set(1) according to claim 1 in which the first matching part(16) and the second matching part(22) are further incorporated with such adhesion-enhancing surfaces(16a,22a).
3. Frame set(1) according to claim 1 in which the first matching part(16) and the second matching part(22) are incorporated with such adhesion-enhancing surfaces(16a,22a).
1. The cellulose fiber composite material is fiber cement.
4. The frame set (1) under claim 1 where the adhesion-enhancing surface (16,22a) has an uneven surface appearance.
5. The frame set (1) under claim 1 where the first matching part (16) has a groove that fits into the second matching part (22) which has an overhang.
6. The frame set (1) under claim 1 where the adhesive is selectable from water-based or oil-based adhesives;
