-1 DEFINITION A NEW FOOTREST DESIGN FOR BUS SEATS. Technical Area The present invention relates to footrests for bus seats. The invention relates specifically to a novel footrest structure for bus seats that can be added to all bus seats for passenger comfort during long bus journeys, operating based on user power, thus eliminating the need to calculate and test the on / off cycle time. State of the Art Vehicle seats are known to have footrests. The footrest plate is positioned axially at the end of the seat cushion and is operated by an electric motor. Footrests on bus seats, due to their current design, have a limited service life. After a certain period, the mechanism becomes inoperable. Because of their limited lifespan, they require replacement over time.
