MAGNETIC LOCK FOR HEADBOARDS

Abstract

The invention is a magnetic locking mechanism (10) developed for use in hospital beds (20), dialysis chairs, pediatric beds, birthing chairs, birthing beds, stretchers and similar medical equipment, and its feature is that it includes a headboard (11) which is placed and fixed at the head section of the bed (20) to ensure the safety of the patient; a headboard tube (12) for keeping the headboard (11) in place and for mounting the headboard (11); a locking magnet (15) for locking the headboard tube (12) in the correct position; and a magnetic retaining washer (13) which works integrated with the headboard tube (12) and activates the magnetic lock by contacting the locking magnet (15) as a result of the contact between the headboard tube (12) and the headboard (11).
