Smart Traffic Light Audible Warning System

Abstract

This invention, belonging to the field of traffic control systems, is a low-cost, domestically developed system that sends directed radio frequency (RF) signals to vehicles when traffic lights turn red at intersections, audibly warning drivers and supporting safe driving in situations such as distraction or limited visibility. The technical problem is red light violations and related traffic accidents caused by drivers noticing traffic lights too late. The invention is based on the principle that an RF transmitter integrated into the traffic light transmits a signal when the red light is on, and this signal is detected by an RF receiver in the vehicle, producing an audible warning via a buzzer. The system is controlled via an Arduino microcontroller. The developed system offers a solution that can be easily integrated into individual vehicles, does not require internet, has low energy consumption, and is focused on social benefit, aiming to improve urban traffic safety.
