Abstract

The invention relates to a carding machine (10) which includes at least one extraction head (11) which guides the fiber at the inlet to the machine, at least one unwinding unit (12) which opens the fiber and makes it ready for feeding, a transition zone (A) which guides the fiber from the feed chute (13) to the drum (15), and at least one regulation zone (14) which allows the measurement of the fiber quantity. The novel aspect of the invention is that the aforementioned transition zone (A) includes at least one riser profile (20) which is positioned to separate dust and debris from the fiber surface, which the fiber comes into contact with as it passes towards the drum (15), and at least one dust extraction channel (21) to collect the waste separated from the aforementioned riser profile (20).
