Abstract

The invention describes a method for creating micro- or macro-perforations perpendicular to the surface of Fiber Reinforced Polymer Composite (FRP) material. On surfaces exposed to heat, including aerodynamic surfaces (such as high-speed aircraft), liquids (water, nitrogen, carbon dioxide, etc.) and / or vapors act as coolants, being expelled through the porous sections of the FRP surface. The liquids and / or gases exiting through the capillary holes evaporate, reducing the surface temperature and forming a low-temperature barrier. The surface temperature is rapidly lowered through condensation. Furthermore, it offers applications in expansion channel / valve applications, as well as in filtering and silencer applications.
