Abstract

This invention relates to a magneto-thermoelectric energy harvesting system for converting wave energy into electrical energy. The system activates a rotating array of magnets via a mechanical mechanism located within a float housing and driven by wave motion. The variable magnetic field generated by the rotating magnets creates eddy currents on a fixed metal disk, generating controlled Joule heating. The resulting heat is converted into electrical energy by thermoelectric generators mounted on the metal disk. The system offers a multi-stage, closed-loop energy conversion architecture consisting of mechanical, thermal, and electrical components. Hermetically sealed electrical components reduce the risk of corrosion and ensure stable electricity generation from low-frequency and irregular wave motion.The invention presents a novel technical approach to the reliable and low-maintenance conversion of wave energy.
