Abstract

This invention relates to an external DVB-S2 tuner adapter developed for use with Android OTT box devices that do not contain a built-in tuner. Current tuner solutions typically operate via USB Type-C, limiting their compatibility with devices that have a Type-C port and restricting their usability. In the system developed as part of this invention, both power and data transmission are provided via the standard USB-A port of the Android OTT box device. The 5V supply voltage from the USB-A port is increased to the 12V level required by the tuner module by the voltage converter circuit located within the device, and DVB-S2 broadcast data is transmitted to the Android device via the same connection line. Thanks to this structure: The requirement for a USB Type-C port is being eliminated. Much wider device compatibility is provided, The need for an additional adapter is eliminated. Practical use is achieved with a single cable. The invention is particularly compatible with a wide range of Android OTT box devices, especially those with USB-A ports, significantly expanding its scope of use compared to existing solutions.
