Abstract

This invention relates to a pine cone-inspired humidity-controlled waste bin that can be used in homes, offices, schools, hospitals, restaurants, shopping malls, public spaces, the waste management sector, environmental technologies, smart product design, industrial design, mechanical engineering, environmental engineering, biomimicry, and materials technologies. Its feature is that it consists of pine cone-like ventilation flaps (3) that open and close depending on the change in humidity inside the bin body (1), a humidity-operated expandable strip (4) that opens the ventilation flaps (3) and closes them by returning to their original size as the humidity decreases, an odor filter compartment (6) that filters the air inside the bin body (1), an air duct (5) that directs the air passing through the ventilation flaps (3) to the odor filter compartment (6), a garbage bag compartment (7), and a filter outlet duct (8) that transfers the air passing through the odor filter compartment (6) to the outside environment.
