Abstract

The invention relates to a wearable acoustic device (1) for determining the target frequency components within the ambient acoustic signal and generating the corresponding acoustic output. The device (1) comprises a microphone unit (3) that receives the ambient acoustic signal, carbon-based dry electrodes (4) that receive the bioelectric signal from the user, a motion sensor (5) that generates motion data representing the user's movement, a processing unit (6), a read-only memory (7) containing the acoustic output limits, and an acoustic output unit (8). The processing unit (6) reduces the bioelectric signal components associated with the motion data; it determines the target frequency component by comparing the ambient acoustic signal with the reduced motion effect bioelectric signal to the target frequency profile.A counter-acoustic signal with a phase relationship corresponding to the target frequency component is generated and transmitted to the acoustic output unit (8) within the frequency and output level limits recorded in the read-only memory (7). The device can also implement photovoltaic-assisted power supply and local device-to-device processing parameter sharing.
