Abstract
This invention relates to a height-adjustable integrated seat system with damping / non-damping for armored / unarmored land vehicles that offers energy absorption capability against mine effects, incorporates this capability within a compact body structure, and has a multifunctional design approach that can be configured according to needs; its features include at least one seat (1), at least one backrest (2) attached to the seat (1), at least one headrest (3) attached to the backrest (2), at least one safety belt (5) to secure the user to the seat, a carrier structure (4) that connects the seat to the vehicle structure, a lower part (6) of the carrier structure (4) configured to be connected to the vehicle side, an upper part (7) that carries the seat (1) and backrest (2), and at least two four-bar mechanisms (8) placed opposite each other that provide relative movement between the lower part (6) and the upper part (7).The four-bar mechanisms (8) must include at least one recliner mechanism (14) connecting the input elements (10) and the connecting rods (11) and enabling the mechanisms to be locked or released simultaneously, at least one locking lever (15) controlling the said recliner mechanism (14), at least one balancing spring (13) supporting the controlled movement of the four-bar mechanisms (8), at least one input element (10) and / or connecting rod (11) with a special geometry to function as an energy dissipation element by undergoing controlled deformation under mine and / or explosion-induced vertical loads, and at least one steel cable (9) on the carrier structure (4) to prevent the seat from exceeding the permitted movement limits under excessive vertical and / or horizontal loads.
