Abstract

The invention relates to a blade flexing tracking system (1) which includes at least one sensor group (10) fixed on a wind turbine tower and positioned so that the measurement area intersects with at least one part of the path of movement followed by the blade during rotation, for monitoring the flexing behavior of a wind turbine blade during rotation.Accordingly, the innovation is that the sensor group (10) includes at least one laser distance sensor (11) which produces laser distance data on the distance between the wing and the sensor group (10) and at least one ultrasonic distance sensor (12) which produces ultrasonic distance data on the said distance, and at least one control unit (20) configured to process the laser distance data from the laser distance sensor (11) and the ultrasonic distance data from the ultrasonic distance sensor (12) together via sensor fusion during each passage of the wing through the said measurement region to generate distance data on the distance between the wing and the sensor group (10) and to determine at least one minimum distance value corresponding to the moment when the wing is closest to the sensor group (10) and at least one maximum distance value corresponding to the moment when it is furthest from the sensor group (10) from the distance data generated during each said passage.
