BUOYANCY BUBBLE UNIT FOR HELICOPTER PLATFORM MISSION VEST

Abstract

The invention is a buoyancy balloon unit (10) that provides buoyancy to a helicopter platform duty vest. The unit (10) is detachably fixed to the inside of the vest with snap fasteners (13) and is made of thermoplastic fabric (11) with high-frequency welding (12). The fabric conforms to EN ISO 12402-7. Main inflation is provided by an automatic bursting mechanism (14) that operates upon contact with water and an inflation tube (16) containing 24g CO₂. The unit can be used repeatedly by replacing the bursting cartridge (15) and the tube (16). An oral tube (17) is provided for spare manual inflation. The invention enhances safety and reusability with its modular structure and standard-compliant materials.
