MODULAR BIOLOGICAL SAMPLE TRANSPORT SYSTEM

Abstract

This invention relates to a modular transport system for the safe transport of primary sample containers containing biological samples. The system comprises a Screw Cap (1), Inner Cap Foil Disc (2), Protective Top Disc (3), Removable Absorbent Sample Carrier Module (4), and Rigid Cartridge Body (5). The Removable Absorbent Sample Carrier Module (4) grips the primary sample containers to their full depth, securing them in an upright position, preventing contact between them, and contributing to the reduction of mechanical effects. The use of Removable Absorbent Sample Carrier Modules (4) with different characteristics within the Rigid Cartridge Body (5) allows for a modular system architecture adaptable to different sample containers.
