Abstract

The invention relates to a panic bar mechanism used in emergency evacuation and fire doors in buildings, which can be operated bi-directionally with an external locking handle and an internal push handle (26). The invention is characterized by a main body (1), a lower actuator (15) connected to the external locking handle, an upper actuator (22) connected to the push handle (26), a movable plate (16) with a pusher tab (17) that the upper actuator (22) contacts, and a fixed plate (23) on which the upper actuator (22) is mounted, with a movable plate pull end (18) that pulls back the panic bar tongue (10). Thanks to the invention, the upper actuator (22) and the lower actuator (15) operate independently of each other, providing uninterrupted and safe emergency evacuation from the inside even if the outside is locked.
