Abstract

The invention relates to a decision support system based on continuous central / mixed venous oxygen saturation (ScvO2 / SvO2) analysis and its operating method, within the field of autonomous control algorithms for medical technologies, intensive care monitoring devices, pediatric cardiovascular surgery follow-up systems, and extracorporeal life support (ECMO, ALA) systems. This invention aims to predict cardiovascular collapse by calculating the rate and acceleration of oxygen reserve depletion; to quantitatively determine the "cumulative oxygen debt" by integrating the time the patient spends below the target oxygenation value; and to instantly detect and autonomously manage pulmonary overflow by comparing the directions of arterial and venous saturation changes in parallel circulation physiology (Qp / Qs imbalance).
