OPPOSITE-ROTATING DOUBLE-LOCKING DISC DOCUMENT CASSETTE SECURITY HOLDER

Abstract

This invention relates to a document security container that mechanically verifies the secure fit of a removable document cassette into the container body. The system comprises a container body, removable document cassette, cassette drive projection, linear drive slide, first locking disc, second locking disc, first locking opening, second locking opening, common locking axis, and final locking pin. As the removable document cassette advances to its secure fit position, the cassette drive projection moves the linear drive slide. The linear drive slide rotates the first locking disc in the first rotational direction and the second locking disc in the opposite rotational direction. When the two locking discs reach their final angles, the first and second locking openings are aligned on the common locking axis. The final locking pin advances in series through the two locking openings to reach the final locking position.When the removable document cassette does not reach its full seated position, one of the locking openings remains outside the common locking axis, mechanically preventing the corresponding disk body final locking pin from advancing to its final locking position.
