Abstract
The invention relates to CNC-controlled sliding automatic lathes. The invention presents a modular spindle architecture containing multiple main spindles and / or multiple secondary spindles. Workpieces are guided to different spindles via a part transfer mechanism and distributed among the secondary spindles. This structure allows operations to be performed on multiple spindles.
