Abstract

The invention is a rotational molding machine (10) comprising a mold (12) for shaping polymer materials and a motion mechanism that rotates the said mold (12); an electric radiant heating system (18) positioned around the said mold (12) to heat the mold (12); multiple electric radiant heater cassettes (180) which can be independently removed and attached to a cassette carrier (190) within the said electric radiant heating system (18); a cassette body (181) which provides structural integrity of each electric radiant heater cassette (180); at least one metal tubular heating element (182) located inside the said cassette body (181) which converts electrical energy into radiant heat; and at least one reflector (183) which directs the radiant heat emitted from the said metal tubular heating element (182) to the mold (12).
