Abstract

This invention relates to a processing apparatus (10) for processing a substrate (12) for an electrochemical battery, and a method for processing a substrate (12) for an electrochemical battery by means of such processing apparatus (10), the processing apparatus comprising a processing unit (14) for processing the substrate (12) and a holder (16) for the substrate (12). It is proposed that the holder (16) be actively cooled by a component (18). The invention relates to a machining device (10) for machining a substrate (12) for an electrochemical cell, and a method for machining a substrate (12) for an electrochemical cell, by means of such a machining device (10), comprising a machining unit (14) for machining the substrate (12) and a holder (16) for the substrate (12). It is proposed to cool the holder (16), in particular actively, by a means (18).
