Abstract

A method of driving monitoring is used to determine whether a driver is fatigue or distracted, and is implemented by an in-vehicle driving monitoring device including an image shooting unit, a driving monitoring unit and a processing unit. When the processing unit receives an alert event, the processing unit obtains a surveillance image to be analyzed related to the alert event from the image shooting unit. The processing unit calculates a similarity between the surveillance image to be analyzed and a standard surveillance image. The processing unit identifies whether the similarity is greater than a similarity threshold value in order to determine whether to trigger the alert event. While the processing unit identifying the similarity greater than the similarity threshold, the processing unit does not trigger the alert event.
