Abstract

In order to provide a polyvinyl alcohol-based film that exhibits excellent elongation during polarization film manufacturing and can suppress breakage even after thinning, the polyvinyl alcohol-based film of the present invention has a film thickness of 5 to 50 μm, and the ratio of its elastic modulus in the flow direction (MD) to its elastic modulus in the width direction (TD) when measured in water at 30°C is 0.95 or higher.
