Abstract

A dryer is provided that suppresses the decline in drying performance. The dryer disclosed herein includes: a housing; a receiving tank for holding an object; an air supply device for supplying air into the receiving tank; a trapping device for trapping foreign objects from the air that has passed through the receiving tank; and an airflow path connecting the air supply device, the receiving tank, and the trapping device. The trapping device includes: an inflow portion extending from an air intake port communicating with the receiving tank; a first swirling portion having a first opening communicating with the inflow portion, and swirling the inflowing air while it is being conveyed in a first direction; a second swirling portion having a second opening communicating with the inflow portion, and swirling the inflowing air while it is being conveyed in a second direction; a first mesh portion disposed downstream of the first swirling portion, having a cylindrical shape extending in a first direction, and having mesh openings in at least a portion for air to flow out from the inside to the outside of the cylindrical shape; and a second mesh portion disposed downstream of the second swirling portion, having a cylindrical shape extending in a second direction, and having mesh openings in at least a portion for air to flow out from the inside to the outside of the cylindrical shape.
