Abstract

A water-stopping solid bag method is applicable to water-exiting environments such as tunnels or basements. The method includes the following steps: First, a water-stopping solid bag with a diameter slightly larger than the water outlet, which is permeable to water but impermeable to cement grout, is installed at the water outlet. Polyurethane water-stopping agent is injected through a pre-inserted injection pipe. After injection, the polyurethane foams within 10 seconds, solidifies after 30 seconds, and completely hardens within 1 minute. The expanded polyurethane expands the bag, deforming it and tightly conforming to the irregular shape of the water outlet, achieving temporary water stoppage. Then, immediately apply water to the area connected to the water outlet... The waterway is filled with cement grout until the channel is completely filled. Due to the water-permeable properties of the bag, the cement grout can seep into the pores around the bag and bond tightly with the surrounding structure. After the cement grout solidifies, it forms a permanent water-stop barrier. By using the water-stop bag, the amount of polyurethane used can be effectively controlled, avoiding the large loss of materials in traditional construction methods. The rapid expansion of polyurethane provides the dry environment required for the cement grout to solidify, ensuring a good bond between the cement grout and the structure, achieving a fast, effective and permanent water-stopping effect. It is especially suitable for emergency repairs or environments with limited resources.
