Abstract

A control device (12) controls a permanent electromagnet (10) having a first permanent magnet (10a) and a second permanent magnet (10b) and a coil (10c). When a driving voltage (Vd) is applied to the coil (10c), the magnetization direction of the second permanent magnet (10b) is reversed. The control device includes: a switching control unit (42) for switching: applying a detection voltage (Vt) to the coil (10c) under a detection voltage application control; and stopping the application of the detection voltage (Vt) under a detection voltage application stop control; and a detection unit (46) for detecting the presence of a magnetic body (W) based on a measured value (Mv) of the coil current (Ic) when the detection voltage (Vt) is applied to the coil (10c). A control device (12) for controlling a permanent magnet (10) that includes: a first magnet (10a) and a second permanent magnet (10b); and a coil (10c), and is capable of reversing a magnetization direction of the second permanent magnet (10b) by a driving voltage (Vd) applied on the coil (10c), the control device (12) including: a switching control unit (42) configured to switch between detective voltage application control in which a detective voltage (Vt) is applied to the coil (10c) and detective voltage application stop control in which the detective voltage (Vt) is stopped to be applied to the coil (10c); and a detection unit (46) configured to detect presence or absence of a magnetic body (W) based on a measurement value (Mv) of the coil current (Ic).
